Little Trips

Waterfalls are God's art work

Our trip to the Great Smokey Mountains this past weekend was nice and relaxing. It was quiet and serene. No alarm clocks, no children, no food to cook, no house to clean...no errands to run or practices to be at. Just the mountains, the hot tub and some cocktails.
We had a nice time. Getting up when we wanted to....eating out all three meals. Walking from knick knack store to the next...finding a little cantina to hide out in and have a margaritas.
We try and get away once or twice a year by ourselves. It rejuvenates us as a married couple and as adults. Do you ever get away with hubby? How long are you gone for and do you feel guilty?

What a gorgeous place! Your weekend sounds perfect. And yes, we do get away for weekends, just the two of us. Our goal was always once a year, but twice if we can swing it. It's so good for a marriage. Feel guilty? Never. It's the best thing you can do for your kids.
We love the Smokeys and Gatlinburg/PF area. We got married up there and have been back often, it's one of my most favorite places. We always go just us, because we don't have kids :)

Sounds like you guys had a great trip! :)

You know the Smoky Mt's is my favorite place in the whole world! I'm due for a trip!

Now that the boys are grown we dont feel like we have to get away, at least not for over night trips. We are at a point in our life that we get to have fun together doing all sorts of things. I love our life together!
