It's a beautiful day. We are going to the pool. Miller is going to see my mom and dad today. So I will be able to relax. I'm excited about my down time. Madison had a friend over last night. We ate dinner outside...Taco Salad. I made a Chocolate Pie and its was so good. I took some next door to my neighbor who had foot surgery..she is down all summer. I feel for her. The house is quiet this morning. Scott keeps walking past me. I won't be able to get on line tomorrow as the guy is coming to tile my kitchen. So the computer will be put up. Madison is going with the youth to the Zoo tomorrow. This will be fun for her. Miller and I will probably just hang out at home. I cant wait to share pictures of my tile work in the kitchen with you.
Tonight I'm making Kelli's Skillet Lasagna. Bread and a Salad from my garden. I think we may have a rainy weekend. Maybe it will be a quiet one. I hope you all have a great day. I will talk to you on Friday.

She is home

My girl is back in one piece. She has been asleep since 5pm though. I'm ready for her to wake up so we can talk about camp. I guess I will wait. I have done all her laundry and completely un packed her. Just waiting. The house is so quiet this morning. Scott just left for work. We may just rest and hang out today. Or we may go to the pool. Who knows. I do know this weekend is going to be slow. Tonight we take Scott's mom out for her birthday and we may just hang out downtown for live concerts and bands. Tomorrow is church and the pool and a little golf. Just hanging out as a family.
My kind of weekend. Dinner Sunday will be Ham Hash brown Casserole with fruit. We love this recipe. I have been going through my cook books from the library.
Next week will be busy and fun. I'll let you know more about it Monday. For now though I hope you all are having a great weekend.

Questions for you.

It's another gorgeous day here. The sun is shining bright. We are going to go furniture shopping today. And hit a park. Mom is going with us. We will have lunch out too.
I hope Miller behaves. He is going through the terrible two's and they are about to get to me. He doesn't want to listen in public and yells and points...I'm at my wits end. I'm not sure what to do. It frustrates me to take him out and he acts out like this. I know he is 2. But he understands the word no. So if you have any advice or ideas I would love it.

Dinner tonight is Beef Stroganoff in the crock pot. We spoke with Madison last night...still no key but she is having a really good time. So I'm happy for this. No one wants to spend that kind of money for their child to cry and want to come home. SO I'm grateful she is happy.

I'm also having a pre school debate with Miller. He turns 2 in late November and I cant decide whether or not to put him in pre school. What would you do or have done? Madison went at 2 but I was a full time working momma. I needed her to be there. But Miller is home with me. He sees other kids during the school year at MOPS the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. We have monthly play dates. I meet up with a friend to walk 2 times a week who has a little one the same age. We go to church every Sunday and during the school year we go on Wednesday nights and Sunday nights. SO he gets enough kid interaction I think. Maybe I'm just feeling guilty. I was thinking about letting him do it in January if there were spots available. He would be 3 then. I just dont know. Let me know your thoughts.

Well..I need to be off getting ready and making dinner for tonight. Have a great Thursday.

Just talking

It's a beautiful day here. I feel good. I thought Miller and I would go do something together since he has been in the house with me for 2 days. We could go to the $1 movies. But it's so pretty outside. We could go to the pool. Or we could go to the library play date with friends....although he doesn't do great at the library. I have to pick Scott's mom up a birthday present today. So maybe we will run do this first.
My house is clean. I need to make my bed and fold a load of laundry first. The temps here this week are really nice. We may do the movie with popcorn then come home and eat lunch on the deck.
Not sure on dinner. Last night momma made Poppy Seed Chicken with peas and carrots and a side salad with lettuce and cucumber from my garden. It was so yummy. The cake we made Scott for Father's Day is so yummy. I may post the recipe this and yummy. Great with vanilla ice cream though.
Tomorrow mom and I are taking Miller to a small town outside of ours to furniture shop and picnic. Hopefully he can play at one of their local parks. I know he will love that. I'm looking for a couch.
Madison has called us and is having a great time. Although she has lost the key to her room...which really upset me. It will cost me $20 replace it. But she is having a great time.
I have already planned her favorite meal for the night she comes home...
I hope you all are having a great week. Thanks so much for your prayers and thoughts on my colonoscopy and Madison being gone. You are a great support group.

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

My Day came out fine. No more colonoscopy's for 5 more years. Thanks so much for the prayers. I slept most of the day. Momma is here making dinner and playing with Miller. I just have to get past the gas they pumped me up with. But everything is clear over all. They even sent me home with pictures of my I will put this in the family

Have a nice evening everyone. I'm taking it easy.

Just Chatting

It's Thursday. We went to the pool yesterday and had a great time. Several of my friends were there. We really enjoyed it. We had a meeting at church last night and did leftovers. I'm going over my grocery list and menu for the next 2 weeks. We have a pretty laid back weekend coming up.
Tomorrow is grocery day and then lunch with my mom and running around. Saturday we are going to hang out at home as we prepare for friends to come over for dinner. Sunday is Father's Day and we are going to the pool and I'm cooking a big dinner for Scott for afterwards....Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans...homemade bread and a Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert.....yum yum.
Madison has got something pretty big next week..but will tell you later.
We are cleaning the house today. Not so much fun. My jeep got a second opinion and much lower price so it is being fixed today. My Tile guy is coming to measure for our back splash in the kitchen today and Scott's mom is taking Madison to lunch. So still a busy day...but not too bad. Dinner tonight is BLT's with chips...on the deck with a big glass of iced tea. I hope your week is ending well and you are getting ready for a great weekend.

Our Week in Review

Outside my Window...I'm looking at the swing set/playground Scott put together over the last couple of days. It took about 10 hours. Miller loves it.

I am thinking...what I will be doing with Miller outside this morning before it gets too hot for him to play today. Maybe a walk or bubbles this morning.

I am thankful for...for such great kids. And their friends. Madison stayed over at a friends house last night. I remember that feeling you got when mom said yes.

From the kitchen...Italian Beef in the crock pot and chips. Smores for dessert.

I am creating...a nice home for the family. We picked out tile for the kitchen walls...warm and inviting.

I am stay home today. Cleaning the house is my goal. Maybe lay in the sun on my tummy at nap time. Depends on the humidity.

I'am wearing.......Striped Pajama pants and a tank top with my hair in a bun...bare foot

I am reading...alot of blogs. Playing catch up. We may hit the library though this week and get some new cook books to read.

I am hoping...that my jeep (which is going to the shop today) gets good news. Last week the news was $1100. We are getting a second opinion.

Around the garden is prospering. We have over 16 tomatoes and 1 squash..with alot of blooms. The cucumber and okra look great and the bell pepper are blooming beautifully. I cannot wait to walk out there and start picking with the kids.

One of my favorite hour massages

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...we have an ENT appointment for Miller, a lunch date with a friend moving away, guest day at the pool, grocery day...that is just a few to name

Weekend Plans

It's a beautiful sunny morning. The temp has already hit 80 and it's not even 7am. Today is Madison's last day of bible school. We went from school to bible school in just a couple of days. I'm exhausted. The week has been good though. We stayed close to save on gas. No huge outings. Scott has been off for 2 days doing things around the house. It's nice to have him here.

The weekend looks great though. We are going to the pool. It is supposed to be hot hot hot so water here we come. We have church too and a birthday party thrown in there and a BBQ. So we will be quite the busy family.

Today we are going to buy Miller a new swing set. I'm pretty excited about this. He has had this small Fisher Price one but now we are moving on up. I cant wait to see his face when daddy gets it all together. We are also getting second opinions on my Jeep...not a good subject...maybe another day. And we have a haircut appointment too for Miller. We are just running around today while Madison is in Bible School.

The painter is gone and the house looks great. I will post a picture next week. I love it. I hope you all have a great weekend. We plan on it.
