My December photo disappeared.....sorry.
But this is what I said on the first day of December

I thought I would post some things on Christmas this month so here goes.

Antique Mommy asked me to do this one and I thought it was really cute so here goes....

Still amazed: that we bought a beautiful home this past summer and all our dreams came true with it.

Still getting used to: taking Madison to school every morning.....we live on the wrong side of the school district for her to ride the bus.

Still loving: my beautiful bedroom we decorated

Still proud of: my children

Still not proud of: people I have hurt in the past...broken friendships...not many but a few.

Still hoping: to save enough $$$ for a great vacation this summer to California.

Still worried: about worrying....something I try to work on every year....

Still never going to: eat liver and onions...or fit into a size 3 again...sigh.....

Still pretending: I can wear a 3 in jeans....I cant though.

Still reading: Your Blogs every chance I get.

Still wanting to read: a book all the way through....I'm not good at it though

Still interested in: taking a cake decorating class...but probably wont happen

Still not interested in: taking an aerobics class but dont mind walking with a friend.

Still looking forward to: Our trip to California in June

Still not looking forward to: getting up early at the end of next week to get Madison off to school.

Still failing: at genealogy...I need to get back into this maybe this winter....I'm really stuck right now

Still grateful for: every single day of life.

Still praying: for my families well being.

Still not believing in: get rich schemes

Still believing in: Jesus

What are YOU still doing?

Let me know if you do was alot of fun.

It's time

It's time. Time to take the Christmas Tree and all the decor down. What took 2 days to decorate..(the house meaning) will take one day to bring down. Kind of sad but needs to be done. I will feel so much better tomorrow about it.

Scott is working so Madison and I will tackle some movies...entertain Miller...snack some and work on the house. It will be tough....but we can do it.

I'm making soup today and cornbread for dinner. I'm feeling better. The Dr put me on an anti biotic and well I conquered the Court House for my Car taxes yesterday (yes the last day before they expire) and Walmart....Miller went to my mom's...Madison hung out with me. We went to lunch together and really enjoyed our time together. Even if it was at Walmart.

I'm in search for my 2008 Planner....very important you know.

Tomorrow consists of church and running to the mall for some looking around since we haven't gone out there yet. Monday is New Years Eve and I will be back to reflect on our 2007. Have a great weekend.

It's a new day . It's actually raining here. I went to bed last night with a horrible migraine right eye was almost closed shut. My head pounded half the night. I just woke up coughed up some yucky stuff got me some coffee and hitting the computer before the house awakes. My headache is gone....but I took 8oo mg of Motrin just to be on the safe side..there is no way I can have another one of those and be mom by myself.

I need to go to the grocery...we are running out of food slowly and I need to go renew my car tags for another year...our local courthouse closes for New Years and New Years Eve.
I'm behind on laundry...about 5 loads. And don't look forward to taking down the Christmas decor in the next couple of days. The doctor started my anti biotic last night.....upper respiratory infection....just what I needed....for the holidays.

My girls night out tonight has been canceled....thanks gals....I really want to go. I just hope I can get dressed and get to Walmart and the Courthouse today with 2 kids. Wish me luck better yet say a prayer for me.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I'm slowly getting over this and I wanted to thank you for your sweet comments and prayers.....I feel them.

Under the weather

I'm still sick. Feel as if I'm getting worse. My head is stopped up and I keep coughing up yellow and green stuff....I know this means infection. But I have no fever. I feel really crummy though. I mean really bad. My throat hurts so is so soar. Scott is working and I have both kids. Miller is coughing pretty deep himself. Who knows. This is the first time this season we have been sick. Pretty good for us. I would like to be healthy by New

Where did the time go?

It's officially over. The Christmas Holiday. We had a nice day. We got lots of nice gifts. Saw alot of people we don't normally see. And just caught up. It was nice.

Today me and Miller are sick though. I have had a really bad soar throat since late Saturday night. And Miller is has a cold. We are staying in today to rest. Madison and Scott are fine.
My mom is bringing me some Mucinex and Listerine to gargle with. Mom's are great.

I love Christmas....but glad it's over. Sometime this week I will attempt to slowly take all the Christmas down..what took 2 days to put up will take hopefully 1 day to bring down. We have enjoyed the tree at night.

We are going to dinner with friends on New Years and this will be nice. Do any of you have any plans for New Years? Share it with me....I'd like to know.

Have a great day.

Merry Christmas Friends

Well, it's time for me to log off until after Christmas. Scott has been home and it has been great and well I need to spend all my time with the family. I wanted to remind you to make Reindeer Food with the little ones

Dry many as you want
Red or Green Candy Sprinkles don't want to hurt the birds with glitter

Mix together...let the little ones sprinkle in the yard on Christmas Eve so the Reindeer will have something to eat while Santa puts out the gifts.....the sprinkles will help guide them to your home....
Don't forget the cookies and milk for Santa too.

I wish our place had some of this. But it doesn't look that way in the local weather forecast. A girl can dream though.....
And of course......I would love to have a little of this too......dreaming still people.

But really I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas with your loved ones this holiday season. Be safe....and remember why we are celebrating Christmas...He is the real reason.
I'll be coming by to visit...see ya after the Holidays.

Time to reflect on what matters

Good Morning everyone! The weekend before Christmas. The streets will be busy, the malls will be crazy. People scurrying everywhere. The hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Remember the reason we are here. Take 10 minutes and focus on what really matters in your heart. God, Family and good friends.
Do something kind for will make you feel so much better.
Today we are doing some last minute things...maybe a drive in the country. Maybe some hot cocoa. We are spending it with each other though.
Slow down and remember it's about God, ourselves and this wonderful life we have.
Merry Christmas friends.

Christmas Tour of Homes

Welcome to Boomama's 2nd Annual Christmas Tour of Homes. I'm so excited. I have never participated but really wanted to this year. So come on in and make yourself at home. I made some Wicked Delight and the recipe is below......I hope you enjoy it.

Wicked Delight

1 Large Jar Dry Roasted Peanuts UNSALTED

1 box small pretzel sticks

1 small box Golden Graham Cereal

2 cups of pecans

12 squares of white chocolate almond bark

Melt White Chocolate in a double boiler or in microwave

Mix nuts, cereal and pretzel sticks. Pour chocolate on mixture.

Stir and coat well. Spread onto wax paper to cool….store in an air

Tight container….

Makes a lot.

Here is our tree. I have worked on it for 9 years now. Thinking of changing it next year with reds and golds.....taking the pinks out.

Here is Miller's tree. He loves it lit up every day. And loves his Christmas animals around it.

Madison's tree is Hot Pink and Black...this is the color of her room with a hint of green. She loves her tree. I made most of the ornaments on it. It really is cute.

This is our Nativity Scene. Scott and I bought it a couple of years back. I love putting it out. Miller cant reach it and we bought him his own this year.
This is my mantle with the kids stockings. This is the first year we have had a fireplace. I love having it.

Here are my Christmas Dishes. I collect Spode. I love it. It is so pretty.

This is my Dining Room table decorated.

This is in the foyer.

This was my Hot Chocolate Party set up last weekend. It was alot of fun. You ought to try this sometime....make some homemade Hot Chocolate and tons of toppings. Call up some girlfriends and you have a great little get together.
I hope you all had a great time. There are others you need to go visit now......Boomama is hosting this all day. Merry Christmas Everyone!
