Cant help you Jen...I'm a "fly by the seat of my pants" kind of planner for summer stuff. I know I want to take Little Package to the beach and to the lake. Those will be just day trips. She is easy to please at this age. When it starts getting hot here....well I tend to RETREAT in to the A/C! LOL

Cookouts with friends and family
Trail riding at LBL
Picnics at the park
Pool trips
Minature golf
Movies (when it gets really hot)

That's about all I got now.

Have fun!

Movies for sure on hot days.

I like scavenger hunts, puzzles on rainy days (movies too then), hikes/nature walks, lakes.

My kids loved playground hopping. We'd do a couple at a time. Picnics for these were always high on the list.

Check out the Summer Clubhouse at Cinemark Theater. The titles are movies that have already been out but there is something about seeing them on the big screen!
At a 1.00 a ticket can't beat that. We get the passes...

One summer we did a 'playground tour' and went to a different one every week, with a picnic. Our local library has the best summer programs, offering plays and crafts. My kids have outgrown them:(, but sure had fun while it lasted. We used to do Friday evenings at the pool, with pizza or Subway. Art in the Park -- taking sketchbooks or collecting nature stuff and do chalk rubbings. I always made sure I had a sitter lined up once a week or so -- a change of pace for the kids and a day out for me!

Hey Jen, There is a new movie rental spot where Hardees used to be next to PMS. They have free kid's videos, history videos and something else free. Also have great prices on rentals. I will be getting some for my granddaughter when she comes out to stay for the weekend.

I've got nuthin'! Actually, I have to take the time to sit down and make a list. Otherwise, before I know it, the summer is gone and I am wondering where it went and what we did. We do go to the lake with my family for a week which we look forward to all year. The cousins all together - great fun!

School ends for us next week thursday, I can't wait.

We're going to do a lot of weekend family trips and during the week, there's swimming lessons, bowling, movies, bbq's, playground hopping, library reading program, tons of crafts at home.
