Weekend talk

Good Morning. Our 4th was great. We had the family over...good food...and good company. We later met some great friends downtown at the river to see the amazing fireworks..they were awesome. Today Scott is working...we slept in and are doing some laundry...a lazy Saturday. Miller is watching cartoons and Madison is still asleep. We may do the pool today...a walk and having friends over for dinner tonight....menu tonight is steaks....some kind of potatoe....squash from my garden fresh tomatoes and watermelon and pecan pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert...havent decided on an appetizer just yet....
I hope you all had a great 4th of July. Miller had on his 4th shirt that said Independance Rocks...he looked so cute. He loved the fireworks by the way.
Tomorrow is church. And the pool again I'm sure...with a little golf thrown in.

Don't you love it when a holiday falls just before the weekend. There are still two days left to stretch out the fun. Your menu sounds fabulous. We have a baseball game this afternoon, then we're coming home to grill salmon for supper. Have a great weekend!

I saw some of the downtown fireworks on the news last night. I used to love to go but we live sooooo far out now and our neighbors put on a pretty good show. They always go to Boomland and get the good ones, you know, the ones that aren't allowed in Kentucky but everyone gets them anyway!

Glad you guys had fun. The fireworks on the river are always good.

I hope all the fools that have bought fireworks and set them off in their back yards around me are done with that.
It is nice to go and see the sponcered fireworks.rather that the illigal setting off of fireworks at your home. In Ohio it is illigal to set them off here. You can legally by fireworks,but you are not allowed to shoot them off here. How dumb is that. ban the sale of fire works as well if you are going to ban the use of them.

How cool that Miller liked the fireworks! Judah was pretty unimpressed... he just looked at a few and then moved on to something else. I was so surprised!

It sounds like you guys had a fantastic fourth of July! And who wouldn't have with all that wonderful food you served! You are such a great hostess, Jen!
