Change

Change. I don't do well with change. Even if it is good. My life is based on schedules and the kids. So when change interferes I cannot handle it well. I try to handle it the best I know how. I enjoy planning things and having things go my way. When someone jumps in there with another idea I take it as insult rather than helping. I should know better but you are the way you are. Although life throws us so many different things I try and handle them the best way I know how.
How do you handle change in your life? Don't get me wrong...I adjust eventually. Get over it...calm down...cool off....but it hits me hard at first...whether it is a change in going to the grocery..a trip....dinner plans....or even not getting up before a certain time in the morning. Change....it's here to stay. Whether I like it or not.

I don't like change either, but I am kind of used to it since I really never know from day to day how it will be. With Dominic being in the military and the 5 kids still at home it is more like controlled chaos then organization so I have to be able to accept change. All this said I still don't like it.

I HATE change. The idea of it is sometimes appealing, but I always get angry/upset. If it is a major change (like moving-which we just did) I get depressed for awhile.

So, I am right there with you!

Most people don't like change. I mean let's face it, we like things the way they are, unless of course there is something evil going on that NEEDS to change. Mostly I go with the flow and don't get too wrapped up in things that I can't control.

I meant to ask you if yall went to the Calvert Drive In the other night? I have been but only once several years ago. I am thinking of going when it cools down a bit.

I don't like change either and it takes me awhile to get used to it. I completely understand!

I'm not a big fan of change but since becoming a military wife I have to say that I was *forced* to deal with it on an almost daily basis.

Nothing we do is ever for certain, no plans are ever set in stone, everything changes on the military's whim...I have just learnt to accept it and not fight and I've discovered that it's usually not as bad as I make it when I try to put up resistance.

Hugs,
Sandra

I feel your pain. I can go either way, just depends on what the change is. My poor husband, keeping up with that is a full time job!

There are times that I hate chgange as well. If I get tooo comfortable in a spce I sure as heck to see any change. I had a job once where I had a great supervisor that was extremely nice to his people. His manamger sometimes would ask us to work over time and to a "man" we would say no way. If Tom would ask us the same thing we would gladly stay for him. he was that kind of 'boss". Than he retired and he was replaced with a stellar person.

This describes me to a T, Jen. No matter how hard I try to be flexible or last minute or spontaneous, it is just so hard. I don't like change. I like structure and routine and balance. I try, but it's just part of who I am.

Hope all is well... take care :)

I don't love change but have learned to embrace it some and accept it a bit! Unfortunately it seems to be a part of life...and you might think of it this way, you wouldn't want your kids to stay babies forever, you want them to grow...so sorta the same; you want to grow and keep changing and not stay the same! Well, we try to think like that anyway!

I'm not so good with change. Wish I was, and I am getting better. But, it's tough. I can completely understand where you are coming from!
