The Last Days of Summer

For Today
Outside my Window...................the humidity is very high already. We are under heat advisors today to stay inside. So inside we shall stay. The skies are blue and the sun is shining bright.
I'am thinking........of the clothes I need to start putting on hangers for Consignment. We do this twice a year. Fall and Spring. I sell our clothes and make some good money.
I'am thankful for........air conditioning. I do not know how people used to live without it.
From the kitchen......we are going to have Chicken and Dressing with a side salad. I'm getting my menu plan in order as this week is grocery week. I'm also making a cool dessert for the week...cookies and cream....
I'am creating....a clean home for my family. Monday I normally stay home and clean and wash.
I'am going.....Nowhere today....we are cleaning.
I'am wearing.....bone colored pajama pants and a lime green tank top..and bare feet.
I'am reading......A Postive friend....
I'am hoping.......Madison's ear is feeling better as she has had some swimmers ear from last week.
I'am hearing......the birds chirp outside.
Around the house......beds need stripping, the floors need cleaning, laundry needs caught up, and bathrooms need scrubbing, the garden needs attention this morning.
One of my Favortie Things....geneology...and when school starts back I' need to get back into this.
A Few Plans for the rest of the week.......a movie and lunch, the library and ice cream one day, guest day at the pool so we are taking our neighbors kids, this week is our Summer Festival downtown and we are going to a childrens lunch box theater one day and my girlfriends retreat starts on Friday evening...whoo hoo!
I have no picture thought as my pictures are still lost....but will be found. A summer thought instead....school is not far off..so catch those last minute fire flies...have a slumber party in the living room....make homemade ice cream....or chase an ice cream truck....find a local pool.....and just enjoy the last days of summer.
For more daybooks...go see Peggy at the simple woman....thank you Peggy for hosting this every Monday. I enjoy it so much!

It's gonna be a hot hot week for the summer festival isn't it? I have been to many, the kids always enjoy it. My stepdaughter sells her clothes too. Do you do the Kids Consignment in the Gore's store?

I always love these, Jen! I so wish it felt like the last days of summer around here, but we'll have hot weather on into October. I've handed out halloween candy many years in shorts and a t-shirt :) I don't know how people used to live without AC either -ours runs nearly nonstop this time of year.

Cookies and Cream dessert sounds awesome!

More fun things planned this week - have a great time :)

I enjoy working on genealogy also.
Enjoy the rest of your summer with the children.
The air quality is very poor here but I went out and worked anyway. It has to be done.

Geneology -- another thing we have in common:) It's been a long time since I've worked on mine, though.

I haven't made homemade ice cream in forever! That's sounds great - maybe banana or peach...
Have a great week and try to stay cool!
Now - to find my recipe for homemade ice cream....
