Day 8 on the Prairie

We got power last night about 9pm...did you here me screaming for joy? I havent been home yet. The temps got down to 9 last night so Scott drove over and turned the heat on and turned the heat pump off emergency.

He said the house was so cold. But it nice to turn that breaker to on...and something finally happen.
Thank you for your personal emails to check on me. Your prayers and loving thoughts...they meant more than you will ever know. Life has been very difficult these last days. What got me through them were prayer and family and friends...

I may not post again until Friday as these next couple of days will be busy with cleaning and taking care of my sweet home....I cannot wait.

The kids are going to my moms today so I can have lunch with a friend...much needed.....
Have a great day!

Jen, I am so sorry. I do understand though....we went through that with Katrina. Amazing how much we take our power for granted. I am so glad you are back at your house. I hope you have a smooth week!

I am so glad!!! I am so sorry that you went through that- we had an ice storm like that when I was little, it was so rough. I can't imagine being a mom and going through it. Katrina was kind of like that-but no cold at least.

I'm glad to hear you are back home. Very sorry about Miller's fish. Poor baby. I still can't believe all the devastation this storm did. I am thankful you and your family are safe.

My goodness, Jen, you guys have had such an ordeal! I'm just so glad you have family and friends nearby to help get through such a terrible storm. Also glad your house is ok and that you have power - hope you're back home very soon and it's all cozy and warm and clean :)

Have a great day!
