Meal Plan Monday and some chatting

It's Meal Planning Monday and thank God Laura @ Organizing Junkie does this she keeps me accountable.....

Monday..........Burrito Pie and salad

Tuesday.........Leftovers

Wednesday.......Grilled Havarti Cheese with steamed vegetables and linguine pasta

Thursday........Salmon Patties, Greens, and Scalloped Potatoes...Homemade Bread

Friday.........Buffalo Chicken Pizza Homemade....salad

Saturday......Eat Out

Sunday.........Tater Tot Casserole with fruit

Dessert of the week....Chocolate Frosted Brownies

Today I'm cleaning bathrooms.....and mopping floors. Maybe a load of laundry....Sunday afternoon we cleaned out Madison and Miller's closets...re organized them. We are getting the kids clothes ready for consignment....Miller's is done...I have to tackle Madison's this week.

I have bought letters for Miller's name to go on his wall and I plan on painting those this week. My friend Sue is going to help me.

I started walking this morning.....5am....with my neighbor 2 miles.....got to keep that extra weight off now that I'm not breastfeeding anymore...by the way the weaning is going well...I'm not engorged but soar...I don't think I'm clogged up....I'm not hard...just tender to touch...I don't think its mastitis because I feel fine. Taking Sudafed to dry up.

Also...looking for a good tropical drink recipe...preferable with something extra in it.....but a virgin is fine too......something fruity would be nice.

Anyone got any Valentine recipes out there? I'm looking for Madison's party at school..I'm making chocolate molded heart suckers and rice krispie treats on sticks....but need another idea...they will gt cookies and cupcakes....so any ideas Mommy's?
HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Emily's and Travis's classes are both doing build your own ice cream sundae's for their parties. Wish I could help on the snack!

Good for you on walking! I think it would take an army to get me out of bed at 5 am...I'm so not a morning person!!

I got a Family Fun magazine a couple of days ago that claimed to have great Valentine recipes..but I haven't had a chance to sit down & read it. I'll get back to you if I find anything worth passing along!
I finally did a menu this week after maybe a month of not doing it! We like to do salmon patties at our house.
I hate walking by myself so I just don't; wish I had someone that would go with me. But 5 is very early, good for you doing that!

Wow. You are very organized. Looks like you have lots of stuff going on this week. Whew. Makes me tired just reading it.

I love spelled names on the wall. I did that in my son's room.

A dessert of the week! That's a great idea. So when it's gone, it's gone, huh? I get so tired of hearing what's for dessert after every meal.

Your menu for the week sounds yummy. You know, I was just looking at a new recipe booklet this morning and one that sounded really good to me called for buffalo sauce. I'm trying to figure out what that is and where I'd find it.

I didn't know Sudafed helps dry you up.

I'll bet if you google tropical drinks you'll find more than you can count!

What a nice post. You sound all chipper - your week is off to a great start!

Lots of pizzas on Menu Planner Monday this week. I think I'll add it to my menu next week and let the children make them!

Have a great week

Congrats on the walking but boy is that early!!

I'm down the night feed now and so only one more to go! I'll wait a week to do that one to make it easier on me.

Have a great day!

Ok, burrito pie sounds interesting. Wanna share what that is?

I use to LOVE going walking w/my mom at 5am. But since she broke her ankle, in October, the morning walks have been put on the back burner. Now I'm off to the gym (when I can) and riding my exercise bike in the evening.

Hey Jen
I've found that kids usually dont eat as much as u think & they r picky when it comes to the party food. Things I would love they ditch! One thing I am a stickler on is making it "homemade"! I hate it when people buy crap from the grocery store bakery! Blah! Stick to simple things, basic choc.chip cookies but make them small. If u can make the cup cakes mini size would be better to. They usually eat just the icing or half a cup cake when they r reg. size. Plain tater chips is always a go. With what you've already got planned sounds like plenty to me...gotta have some candy hearts tho!! LOL & some soda or punch!

You're always so busy, I thought I was the one running around all the time but you have me beat LOL

I always make heart shaped cookies on a stick, for Jasmine's valentine's day class parties. It's always a big hit with the kids :)

I have the recipe on my food blog, just do a search for cookies on a stick and you should be able to find it :)

Hugs,
Sandra

Thanks for stopping by! I like the sound of the tater tot casserole and fruit. YUM!
MMMM, looks like a good menu. Grilled Havarti....yum!

Valentine recipes--how about strawberries, cut in half? They look almost heart-shaped and are healthier than cookies, etc.
Your menu sounds delish, especially those frosted brownies. Let us know what cute and yummy ideas you get for V-day :)
