It's Monday and it's raining.

Good Morning. It's raining here and has been since late Friday night.....I wish it would stop...I'm ready for the sunshine. Well, Madison is out of school today...and I have BIG news. Miller hasn't nursed since Friday night. Yes, I'm a little sad. He asked for it Saturday night and I said it was gone and gave him a cup of milk....he is almost 14 months now and I'm ready for the next step. Last night he didn't ask for it....I just have to go through a whole new step of getting him to sleep now. But you know what? This is all he has know for 1 year and I cant expect to change all of this in 2 days....so I have been really patient...and well, he has slept all night for 2 nights...lst night from 8pm until 7am which was wonderful for me. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Madison even is sleeping better. With all the rain here, Scott has been working some over time...remember he works for the phone company.
Today we are going out with mom....lunch and shopping. I'm going to post my Meal Planning Monday below..so look for it. The girls lost their soccer game Saturday. They played really hard...Madison got hit in the face with the ball...drama. She is trying out for a part in her acting class for a play...she is already in a play at school coming up. This week....I have some appointments and errands to run. Nothing huge. My parents leave for Florida Thursday so I'll be seeing them off. She has never been away from the kids this long. I booked our condo in Florida for fall break and am looking forward to this trip. Hope you all have a great Monday...

Monday...........Chicken & Dressing Casserole...salad

Tuesday...........Pot Roast with potatoes, carrots, Lima Beans, Corn Bread...and corn

Wednesday......leftovers

Thursday..........Taco Salad

Friday...............Tater Tot Casserole and fruit

Saturday...........Chili Supper at Church

Sunday..............Eat out

I do have a question for you all out there.....I have to get some games together for the school Valentine Party for Madison...I need at least 4-5 games.....I have 2 picked out.....a candy heart stacking contest.....and one where you blindfold one person and sit them in front of the class and point at someone else in the class quietly they walk up to the blindfolded kid and say I LOVE YOU in a disguised voice and the other kid has to guess who it is.......this game is alot of fun to end the party or start the party.....any ideas are welcomed.......

Happy Monday!

Your menu looks great! I love the banner on your blog. I'll have to think about the Valentine games--the two that you posted sound like a lot of fun.
Candy heart stacking contest sounds like a lot of fun!

How about "Pin the stamp on the valentine?" Make a big posterboard "envelope" addressed TO MY VALENTINE. Draw a square where the postage stamp should go. Give each child a heart sticker with a number on it--the one whose sticker is closest to the stamp area wins.
There is a great website called FamilyFun.com that may offer some suggestions for the party.

Your menu sounds great! As far as the games go, have you checked out the Family Fun website? They usually have some great ideas for school parties. I have used a few of their games and snack ideas. I, too, have to plan my daughters school party for Valentines Day, but I haven't even begun! Good luck and I love barb, sfo's idea. I bet the kids would enjoy that! Hope you have a great week!
Hey Jen - no help here on the games, but the one you described sounds fun. I'm sure they'll have a great time no matter what.

It just started raining here today... I think if it had been raining since Friday, I would be loopy by today. I need to see the sun more than that! :)

Miller is getting to be a big boy... I know it's sad at the same time, but will open up a lot of other opportunities for you guys. So glad he's sleeping well. :)

Have fun at lunch and shopping with your mom! Your menu for the week sounds really good - I'd love to stop by most every night and eat with you guys! :)

We've played tape the heart on cupid and Valentines Bingo at parties before.

That's great about the weaning! I think the first few days are the hardest and it sounds like you've both gotten through them great! Good luck!

Here's a great website full of all kinds of Valentine's party game ideas:

The "pin the heart on the cupid" sounds fun. If you're up for it, there are some cute little crafts ideas, too.

Sounds like you have a fun day lined up. And good for you, getting a full night's sleep! Yeay Miller! What a big boy!

Great Menu Jen :)

I'll have to think on the Valentine's day games...can't think of anything right now.
It sounds like your little one is getting so big! I get tired of the rain but it hasn't rained yet where I'm visiting in NC but I'll be home tomorrow and it will be cold and maybe rainy.
I needed to do a menu this week but just haven't thought about it yet!

I so know what you mean about being sad that the nursing is over...I'm right there too and so far I haven't been able to do it but I am down to twice a day...it is way harder on us than it is on them I'm sure. Your menu sounds great!

Thanks for your recent comment on my blog. It's fun to get a comment or two from someone new. Your menu looks great!

Sorry, don't know anything about valentine games off the top of my head. My kids aren't in school yet.

Good luck with adjusting to no nursing. It can be hard and emotional ... just keep yourself busy.

Great menu. We love pot roast in our house.

Wish I could help you with your Valentine's games. I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I am sure you can find some great ones by using google. The ones you listed, though, sound like a blast.
