She is gone....

Well, she got on the bus at 8am. She had on her camo outfit....and looked like a million bucks. I was going to take her, but she decided to ride the bus at the last minute. Yes...I had a tear in my eye. The baby is down for his first nap....summer vacation is over. The house is quiet. I guess I will go fold some laundry. I'm a little sad....but happy for her.
I'll post later.

My daughter wore her camo outfit today too...and her pink converse hi-tops...those are about the only shoes she'll wear. I have to admit I had a little tear in my eye, too. My little guy starts kindergarten at 12:30...I'm sure that is when the real tears will start! Hope you (and Madison) have a great day!!

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for stopping by and reading my endless 100th post. I'm still amazed almost 30 people read and commented on it. Might have left out a few things if I'd expected that!

Teething is so hard. I read somewhere that an adult couldn't take the pain a baby goes through. I feel so bad for the little ones when they're teething.

And it IS sweet/sad when your child goes to school. It's sort of like summer's officially ending and on the one hand, with school back in session you have time to get some things caught up but you miss the company, you know?

I sooo understand how you feel.

I had these same mixed feelings. I am now getting used to it and kind of have a routine. You will settle in and I know she will enjoy school. Let us know how first day is.

I understand what you are going through. I blogged about this last week. I hate it when my children go back to school. I'll be praying for you.

Wow, school starts early there! We don't start until after Labour day weekend in September. I'm going to be a bawling, crying, sappy mess in a few weeks. My little one will be starting kindergarten.

Yes Yes I think I can safely say you are having an acute attack of ENS! (Empty Nest Syndrome.) Your symptoms will get better the closer to 3PM on weekdays and will become worse at 7AM. On the weekends ALL symptoms will be gone. Poor Jen! It will be OK!!
Awwww... this too shall pass.. and get better and better. Soon it'll be the days she doesn't go to school that'll have you in tears ;)

WTG Brave Girl and Brave Mommy. I hope you both have a chance to enjoy your newfound freedom.

Cheers!

Julie
Ohhh...the first day of school can be so hard on the Mom, huh? *sniff*

Oh, I hope she had a good day yesterday! We started school in July, year-round. my oldest starts Monday...yipee! No more crying with that one...Sophmore. The others I will admit I was a little sad, especially with the baby (he's 6). He'll always be momma's baby boy though!
Hope you had a good quiet and peaceful day!
