Its his Ears

Well, yesterday morning I decided to call the doctor....Miller just was NOT hisself. They got me in at 11 am. His temp kept going up so I kept thinking he has never ran a temp with teeth before. The doctor looked in his ears and said...he has a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION.......so there ya have it....here is the problem. SO he put him on an antibiotic and we came home. All afternoon he was pitiful. Whining........like you have never heard. So, we got the antibiotic down him...which Madison is allergic too....and he did okay for awhile. Last night I tried to get the medicine down him and he through up ALL over Scott. Now Scott cant handle vomit....he is horriblw with vomit. So I dealt with both of them. Madison just watched tv shaking her head and giggling. We never got the antibiotic down him last night he kept throwing it back up. SO he slept with me and Scott slept on the couch. He woke up at Midnight crying and I nursed him. He woke up at 2am with a 101 temp and I gave him Motrin and nursed him.....and he woke up at 6am and I nursed him.....he is sleeping now.
So here I'am trying to fit in a post and read everyones.....I'm sorry I have been away for a couple of days.....I did get some sleep and feel okay...I do however have a soar throat and Scott is feeling kinda bad. He just brought me some coffee.....he is so sweet.
I hope you all have a great weekend.......
Thanks for checking in with me and praying for my little man.

poor little guy! and poor you! BUT i'm so glad you have determined a reason to his fussiness and lack of sleep. i'm glad you took him to the doc. its just so hard to play the guessing game with little ones...hope you can find an antibiotic that he'll keep down.

get well soon miller!

I suspected it was more than teething. You have to figure out a way to get that antibiotic in him. Within 24 hours he'll be all better and you'll all start getting some much needed rest. I cringe to even think about the last few nights you've had.

Poor little fella! Hope all of you fel better! Nothing worse than everybody sick. Good thing Madison is ok, she is right?
My kids hate taking medicine too. When they were little they would always throw it up. Fun times, I tell ya!
Glad you got a little rest, feel better soon!

Ohhh nothing worse than ear infections...I remember about 6 months ago both my kids got one at the same time, it was just double the crying..poor kids.

I had a hard time giving them the antibiotic too, the only way I got it into them was by putting it in their juice cups LOL Or I would bribe them with a popsicle if they took it nicely for me.....

Just hope you can find a way to give him his antibiotic.

Oh Jen, Poor Jen!! If you cant get enough consecutive doses of antibiotics in him you are going to have to get him back to the doc soon! He may have to get the first few doses IV. Did the doc say anything about bottle feeding for a little bit? Sometimes because of the positioning of the baby when you nurse it makes the ear infections worse or makes them more prone. Oh I feel so bad for all of you. And you are getting down too with a sore throat! UGH! That is what I am getting over. I had a good day yesterday but it has all moved into my head now...stopped up & nose running. I will try to check in tonight & see how yall are doing. Wish I could take you & Miller to work with me this morn. I work with a great ped. doc!

Oh, Jen, I know it is so hard. My oldest had ear infections ALL the time, and we would feel so helpless. There is only so much we could do to ease his pain. Hang in there, and I will pray for him to feel better soon!
