MONDAY'S MEAL PLANNING

Organize Junkie has come up with a great idea....meal planning.....go on over and check her out.....it will be great.

Monday- Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
Tuesday- Italian Beef in the Crock Pot, Mac & Cheese
Wednesday- Leftovers
Thursday- Grilled Pork Chops on George Foreman with green peas, fresh tomatoes, scalloped potatoes
Friday- Madison's choice, frozen pizza, fish sticks, sandwiches
Saturday- Eat Out
Sunday- Cheesburgers on the grill, French Fries

I'm trying to get around cooking on the stove this week...not wanting to fire up the oven. Its 100 here this week and my oven makes it even hotter.

i'll have to check out org junkie. i have always wanted to be a meal planner, but lack the discipline of sitting down to do it weekly! i think i'm too spontaneous. but i know it would help us save money and not eat out as much. we make italian beef in the crock pot too...i've never known anyone else who makes it (my mother-in-law makes it, passed it on to me)...curious what yours consists of?). thanks for the menu planning info!

An excellent and tasty sounding week! I like a lot of variety, too.

hey...yours is different than mine! it sounds great though. maybe mine is georgia style :)
3-5 lb chuck roast
1 c water
1 Tb worshteshire (sp?)
1 Tb season salt
1 TB onion flakes
1 Tb garlic powder
1 Tb ground mustard
1 Tb pepper

cook all day, shred it up with forks and discard all the fat. we serve it on buns for sandwiches. (i actually add lots more than 1 Tb of all that seasoning...makes it taste better!)

Thank goodness you threw one leftovers night in there. Sounds like you cook up a storm. We have one night a week we call dig-ups. My fridge gets so full of leftovers, everyone who's eating here that night gets to dig something up. They get to go back and have some favorite I cooked that week and I get to see the shelves in my refrigerator again!

This sounds interesting, but I never seem to be able to stick to a menu. I can come up with a plan, my problem is making it happen.
