Chit Chat

Good Morning everyone! What a night. Miller woke us at 2am vomiting every where...this morning he says he feels fine. Not sure where it came from or why. Just hope I dont get it....at 3am I was washing sheets....and cleaning carpet....we are supposed to go looking for Easter outfits today. We are taking it easy and seeing how he feels.
2 weeks ago Miller and I started our herb garden...my sweet basil is coming up generously....I was so excited it was growing...still waiting on the rosemary and oregano.....the mint hasnt been planted just yet. My big garden is almost ready to start. Here is what I'm planting..

* Green Beans
* Onion
* Cucumbers
* Tomatoes
* Bell Peppers/ Other Peppers
* Squash
* Watermelon/Strawberries
* Lettuce...2 types

That is it for now...I would like to do some snow peas....but Scott cut me off. Also I'm going to plant some cilantro and mint. I cant wait for it to start growing...

Spring Break isnt for two more weeks here. We have two trips planned for the week. My mom and I are taking Madison to Tn for two days...doing some geneology and some shopping. Then we are going with some friends to St Louis to the zoo and some museums. This will be fun.

Well....dinner tonight...will be Salmon Patties....I'm off to start breakfast and do some more laundry...enjoy your Tuesday!

I am going to do a herb garden this year for the first time. Where did you get your seeds? I looked at Walmart and they didn't have any. Oh, I could go to Phelps or to the place next to Pet Pharmacy after work. I bet they have them. But anyway, where did you get yours? lol
Wow, your garden sounds awesome Jen! Do you do it in ground or in raised beds or what? I wish I had room to grow stuff. I am going to try one or two things in pots on my deck, but I don't have room to grow much of anything else. Yours sounds wonderful!

Hope Miller and everyone else is feeling much better now, have a great day :)

Oh, man. I love sweet basil and how many things it can be put into. Do you know you can freeze it by packing it into ice cube trays with water, putting into freezer bags, and then throwing them into stews/soups, etc? Just an idea if you hadn't heard that.

Anyway, I'm very excited about your garden too. Can't wait to get mine going!

I'm starting over with my gardening since we moved. I don't have much room for vegetables, but would like to grow some herbs and some tomatoes in pots. And rosebushes!

Poor little Miller! I'm glad he's feeling better.

Ack, I hope Miller is much better now. I hate it when that happens.

Guess what I have planted? ONE tomato plant! Yay me. lol I would love to plant some lettuce and squash, but we'll see.

Our Spring Break ended yesterday. It went by so fast. We are having such a hard time getting the boys up on time now.

I found seeds at the southside Walmart yesterday. I also got one of those little starter planter thingies. It has a plastic dome/top. I can't wait to get them planted. I will do that this weekend since Steph will be at her real dad's. Well, I could do it even if she was there. In fact, thinking about it I wish she would be there when I do it. I just might have changed my mind and do it after work this week.
I wish I could grow stuff but I'm so not good at it! I might try something in a pot again this year but usually I just depend on gardening friends to share with me.
Hope Miller is feeling better.
Your spring break is later than ours here!
