Reflecting and Planning

I'm reflecting on my weekend. I had a good one. Friday night we met with our MOPS group. We planned an entire year.....we snacked and talked and enjoyed each others company. I love all the women in my group. We all get along so well. No fighting or bickering no jealousy or rolling eyes. It's really nice. Saturday we ended our MOPS retreat and I went home to my family. I missed them so. We hung out at home and watched a movie and enjoyed each other. Sunday we went to church and enjoyed our morning. Madison had a Luau to go to after church and we were leaving church and our battery went dead in the jeep. SOOOOOO we had to buy a new battery. Madison made it to the party. And all was well.
I made a huge meal last night...pot roast and brown gravy, fresh green beans and whole potatoes, corn on the cob and fresh tomatoes and I even made homemade Amish bread..... It was so good. For dessert we had blackberry cobbler and vanilla ice cream. YUMMY!

This week will be kind of slow. Miller got a hair cut this morning he is so sweet. Then I finished painting Madison's dresser and Mirror. We have had lunch and are winding down. Tonight is Back to School Night and her teacher has asked me to be room mom. I had to think about it. I told her I didn't mind helping out. It is however Madison's last year in Elementary school. So I have to get papers ready for the parties they are having this school year for parents to sign up for things.....so I will have a busy afternoon on the computer.

Tomorrow me and Miller need to take Lucky our dog to the vet for his annual check up. And Wednesday...drum roll please......Miller will start going to mom's and mother in law's house every other Wednesday from 9-3 to give me a day a week to myself..no kids...I cannot wait. It will help me out for errands, appointments, lunch with friends....you get the picture.

I so hope you all have a great Monday.......

Hi, there! I just spent my first weekend in Kentuky this weekend. I'm a journalist/blogger in Knoxville, TN. My family and I drove to Corbin to play bingo. It was an experience. :)

Oh room mom...I'm not ready for that yet! Last year I was room mom for both kids classes and it was hard. I'm hoping there will be some gung ho new moms willing to take on that challenge! Good luck with it! Oh, and enjoy your day a week to yourself...that will be so nice!
oh... to have a day to myself!! ENJOY!!!

Our week has started at full throttle...

Blessings,
