It's so hot here!

It's another beautiful Monday...But it's going to be hot. Tomorrow's high is 101'. That is ridiculous. And I'm running errands all day tomorrow..GREAT!
Today, Madison is going to lunch and a movie with her granny. Miller and I are going to finish painting her dresser and mirror. We are painting her furniture black. Her bed has been done. It's very pretty.

I have been looking for a Pear Preserves recipe. I found one on Allrecipes.com but just thought I would ask you guys if you had one you had used before. I'm wanting to make some this fall. Do you all can anything? If so what?

I have officially opened and un packed my last box. Now...everything is not in its place...but un packed. It's very tiring. But I did weed through alot of stuff for another yard sale and the trash. This helps so much. We are going to have another yard sale at the end of the month.

Please keep praying for friends son Nate. He is still taking chemo treatments. Our classes at church have saved a generous amont of $$$ for their food, gas ect.

My menu planning will be simple this week as it's so hot and I don't want to start up the stove too much..

Monday........Tuna salad sandwiches with sliced tomatoes and chips

Tuesday.......Spaghetti and meatballs and Caesar Salad

Wednesday...Chicken Pot Pie and fruit

Thursday......BLT's and chips again...my family loves these

Friday............I will be at a MOPS retreat...so they are ordering pizza

Saturday........Chicken Divan and salad

Sunday.........leftovers

For more meal planning go on over and see my friend Laura @ Organize Junkie........

I have been talking with Sandra about getting on a new schedule...you know new home, school starting, baby is getting bigger......so if you have any tips for me on schedules please pass them this way. I hope you all have a grand week and try to stay cool........

I've been considering painting my boys beds in a (high gloss) black as well. They either need to be painted or replaced all together. I would REALLY love to find a couple of antique iron beds to paint, now that would be awesome! It's hot where I am also.....too hot!! Thanks for stopping by and visiting for a while. It does sound like we enjoy 'around the house' projects. And it also sounds like you just moved.........so did we! Thankfully every box has been unpacked, but I am still not organized. As for canning, I tried my hand at it last fall and the only word to describe it would be......MESSY........but then I was canning tomatoes, so maybe that had something to do with it. I want to try again but definitely something different. Well, I didn't mean to write you a book for a comment!! :) Have a great day! Lynn

Your menu sounds great Jen! I agree, it's too hot to cook and sandwiches and salads sound so good right now. Hope you guys get settled in the new house and with a new schedule really soon :)

Take care!
