Girl Talk

I haven't done a Girl Talk in awhile. It's good to be back. I'm drinking my coffee with caramel vanilla creamer, the sun is shining and my children are playing at my feet. Life is good friends...come on in.

This week was so blurry. We unpacked some hung some pictures, finished on some things. Still have boxes to un pack. We are getting our consignment things together to take tomorrow morning. We may hit some yard sales...the kids love to do this.

My furniture is supposed to come for my family room next week. I'm more than ready for this.

Miller was supposed to start Mothers Day Out but I couldn't get him in in time. SO my mom and mother in law said they would help out and rotate weeks. Hopefully he can start the week after Madison starts school.
School starts next Thursday. We are almost ready for this. A few more things to get. Madison is excited I think.

Our friends J & S found out their son Nate has leukemia this past week and their entire lives went from normal to crazy in a matter of minutes. Please continue to pray for them. He started chemo yesterday morning.....we have started a donation fund for food and gas to where they have to travel for treatments and we have 3 Sunday School classes ready to feed and pamper them when they are home. I so love my church.

MOPS is getting ready to start up. Our retreat is next weekend. An overnight stay. I'm really excited about this year. We will have 2 meetings a month.

Cheerleading and Gymnastics start next week. I need to get her registered for gymnastics today. She finished tennis. Not sure how that will end up..she gets bored with it.

Sunday we are taking the kids to a local water park. We are going with some friends and are looking forward to this. One last hoorah before school starts back.

I so hope you all have a fantastic weekend.....I look forward to coming by and visiting Monday

Goodness, you sound SO busy Jen, but it sounds like it's all really good. The kids start back to school here next week soon, almost seems like they should have a few more weeks. Glad you guys will have a chance to do the water park, that should be fun :)

Oh, and send me some caramel vanilla creamer. I looked for some today in the grocery and couldn't find any!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!!

I have just the thing to help you recover from your crazy summer, Jen. How about the copy of Gift from the Sea you just won over at my place. :-)

I just realized I'm going to need your new address. I have your old one, but geez, I seem to recall you just moved! LOL

So get your address to me and your book will go into tomorrow's mail. And congratulations.

And yes of course, I'll continue to pray for your friends' child. I can't even imagine what they must be going through right now and I almost can't bear to think of a 5 year old little boy being so sick.

So you get to go from a busy summer to a busy school year, huh? I remember you saying that you liked to stay busy.

We start school in less than two weeks, and I am not ready. We have had a pleasant relaxing summer for the most part. I hate having a scheduled wake-up time. Plus, my son will be in 9th grade, and everyone is telling me how the next 4 years will fly by. Not looking forward to that!

I just stumbled upon your blog. It's very cool, I love your title (maybe because I'm such a HUGE coffee drinker!). Anyway, I am enjoying looking around. I am sorry to hear about your friends son. I had a grandmother that suffered with leukemia. I've said a prayer for him! God bless, Lynn.
