Cleaning Day

I have lots of cleaning today. Bathrooms, bedrooms, cleaning floors, dusting, washing windows...you get the idea. I have been going so much that I have neglected the household things...and lots of laundry.

I'm coming by to visit everyone.

On cleaning.....do you have a specific cleaning day or routine?

I clean on Fridays. Try to get up early that morning, get the grocery shopping done before everyone gets out of bed and hubby leaves for work. When I get back home the boys are up and they help me unpack the groceries and then there's breakfast. After that it's time to clean! :)

When I tried doing it a little each day I was finding that I was having a hard time with consistency, even if I did have it written down what was supposed to be done each day. (of course we maintain during the week, but I'm talking about scrubbing showers and sinks, that sort of thing) This just works better for me. :)

A specific day....hummm not for me. My schedule is different every week so I have to get it when I can. My house is orderly most of the time so the cleaning...real cleaning I try to do at least every 2 weeks. My dog had a checkup appointment today but I couldnt get the farm truck to crank...he cant get up in the other one so I had to cancel & now I'm cleaning....see...no set day for me, lol.

Oh you could just pop over and help me when you're done! I'm SO behind on cleaning/laundry. No I don't have a specific day but probably should....I do tend to do more toward the weekend when I think we might have company. And I usually grocery shop toward the first of the week.

I don't envy you, but I hope it goes well, and that it goes fast, so you can enjoy some of your day :)

I am OCD enough to have a cleaning schedule, and I'm pretty rigid about sticking to it. I do bathrooms on certain days, floors on certain days, dust/vacuum on certain days, etc. It works for me, but I am sure it wouldn't work for everyone :)

When I had specific cleaning days (Friday and Monday) my house was in much better shape.
I keep trying to find a new routine that fits but my work schedule varies each week.

Ok- you've got me convicted! I better get finished cleaning before hubby gets home... I am just enjoying having a quiet house while the little one is napping!!!

I use to do laundry on Friday night & cleaning on Saturday during the day. But now that my husband is working nights I wash whenever we need it and clean during the evening/weekdays so when he is home on the weekend my time with him isnt' wasted by cleaning!

I hope you got caught up on your cleaning! I cleaned the bathrooms today. I normally do them on Friday but I thought I'd finish early. :0)

I had to do a thorough cleaning a couple weeks ago. I am ashamed to say my house fell apart over the summer. Happy scrubbing!
