What's going on at our house

So today I have some things going on. I need to start preparing for this party we are having for Scott this Saturday night at the house. 18 people are coming. Yes..that is what I said...18! It's his birthday and we are doing a tailgate party. Pulling some trucks around back by the deck and putting coolers in them.....I'm hunting down Christmas lights today so I can wrap them around the deck for light. I also need to go buy his Fire Pit he wants this week sometime.
I'm going to spray paint my lamps in the Family Room black and paint my fireplace brass black.
Of course I have laundry going on as usual. And I tried some of Barb's recipes this weekend....her Taco Casserole and chicken Rigatoni Casserole they were AWESOME! Tonight we are having Potato Soup and homemade bread and a salad....yum.

I have been making my menus for the holidays and starting to compose a list of sweet things I'm making and gifts in jars. I need to go buy my jars this week. I plan on doing these with Madison Thanksgiving weekend...it should be fun. We are doing 12 M&M Cookies, 6 Dreamsicles, 3 Chocolate Shortbread and 3 Almond Joy Brownies......that covers 24 people on our list...hip hip hooray!
