Friday's

For more favorites go on over to see Suzanne...............

1. Veggie Tale Movies. Me and my friends Christie and Melinda took our boys to the movies on Tuesday to see this movie....now Melinda's boy is 2 and he lasted a whole hour...but Christie's son and Miller lasted the whole movie and loved it...they did great.

2. Not cooking dinner this week. With Madison and Scott gone to camp this week I have NOT cooked at all. We did leftovers and ate out and it has been awesome. Back to normal tomorrow though...they come home and I plan on making a great meal for them.

3. Green Beans. My beans are growing like crazy in the garden...I went out there last night to check out things and pulled a small mess of green beans..enough to cook them tonight for the family.

4. Lunch at a new restaurant with an old dear friend. It is always nice to see her. She is like a fresh breath of air.

5. Neighbors who check with us. Some of my neighbors knew Scott would be gone this week and they have all come by to check on me and Miller or called. It's so nice to be checked on from time to time.

This weekend will be quiet. My husband and daughter come home today and I'm baking my grandma's chocolate cake and a huge dinner..most of it from the garden. Saturday is just hanging out at home maybe a trip to the toy store for Miller. Sunday is church and Fathers Day. We are going to go to the drive inn movies to see Night at the Museum 2 and picnic there....laid back is what Scott really likes....enjoy your weekend....and we will talk Monday.

I seriously need to get to the drive-in. I have wanted to see the movie yall are gonna see. I just don't know if I can take the heat though. Bummer. Menopause sucks! Glad your family will be whole again tonight. I can't believe you already have beans! The only thing we have picked are some banana peppers and one cucumber. Can't wait for everything else. Enjoy you weekend and eat a hamburger at the drive-in for me. I have heard they are great but have never had one.

I am so not into gardening but I'm telling you Jen, you're making me wish we had space for a little garden! Fresh picked green beans got my mouth watering!

Yes it is nice to take a break from cooking dinner, I can understand why you liked that. :)

Great list - we loved Veggie Tales, too. I'm looking forward to the off to camp/no need to cook dinner week as well!

Good friends and good neighbors - you are very blessed.

nice not to have to cook for awhile, isn't it? Actually, it makes you appreciate having someone to cook for - at least that is my experience.

We are a long way from picking beans out of our garden! In fact, I still need to plant some more - we had a late spring.

Nice that you had a good week with your little one - and what a blessing to have neighbors that care enough to check on you!

Sounds like a good week for you. I love green beans out of the garden -- I'm going to have to check with the produce stand to see if they have any, now that you mentioned it!

Have a wonderful laid-back weekend.

Great idea about the drive in - we have one about 30 minutes away and I always forget about it. Enjoy the time with your dd and husband now that they're home.

Have a great weekend!

I know you'll enjoy your weekend. And it will appear on next week's FFF!

I always enjoy the 'downtime from the kitchen' weeks, too.

I've never in my life eaten a fresh green bean. It always sounds so good, to pick something from the garden and eat it fresh. But the only green beans I know come out of a can:( I'm obviously deprived?

Sounds like you had a relaxing week with Miller. It must of been fun sharing time with him. Nice to hear that the neighbors popped in and even nicer to hear that the rest of your family is back with you.
