Super Man Festival 09


We went to the Super man Festival in Metropolis Ill on Saturday. They celebrate Super Man since Metropolis is mentioned in the original comic books as being where he is from. Its a pretty big festival with a fair and food and alot of Super Man, Wonder Woman, Bat Man people walking around. We used to take Madison to this when she was little and she loved it. This was Miller's first festival. He did okay. Remember it was HOT!


Madison loves coming to see this statue...it stays up in the city square all year long.


Our very own wonder woman.....or super girl?



By this time...Miller was over it...and ready to go. We ended our day at Dippin Dots. Dippin Dots was originally started in this town. Metropolis is just over the river from where we live...not far...about 10 minutes away. It was still a great afternoon spent with family.

Madison and Miller come home tomorrow! We have missed them and look forward to their homecoming!

I have had my picture taken behind both Superman and Wonder Woman thingies and also under and beside the large Superman statue. I took my girlfriend from Texas there when she visited 4 yrs ago. She loved it! In fact she loved our town, our house and everything around it. She said the roads leading from the airport to my House (backroads) reminded her of growing up in Lousiana.
