Chit Chat

Summer is so here. It was 97 yesterday heat index 105 and expected to be worse today...a horrible storm last night ripped though..unexpected. Summer time is here.

We stayed home yesterday. Resting and staying cool. Watched movies and ate Orange Cows. Today is lunch out with my momma and heading to YaYa's Island for some fun....Miller can run his energy off. YaYa's Island is an indoor park for kids that have inflatables...so yes I will be worn out when we are done. Playdates rock you know.

Scott went back to work this week. He worked 13 hours yesterday and came home. It was still too hot to eat outside. I grilled chicken on the George Foreman grill that is how hot it is. Yuck. The chicken was really good however. And I'm being blessed with a ton on green beans...yum.
The garden is awesome. I just love how it continues to grow and give us what we need. I have a red tomato too.....whoo hoo!

So I'm getting things lined up to make some peach jam next week. I wanted to have a different jam so I can give away during Christmas. Peaches are in right now here....stands everywhere.
This weekend is going to be busy....we have a birthday party to attend and dinner at a friends home. I'm cooking a meal for a sick friend. And church. Our class is growing and it is so exciting that we helped start this. We are doing so many activities together and God is the heart of it.

4th of July is coming soon. Hard to believe. Scott has a 4 day weekend off. That will be nice.
We are making Disney reservations and it is so exciting. Miller will be so amazed at Disney.

I hope you all are having a great Tuesday in the air conditoning where ever you may be.....

I have the AC and a fan on here at work. I feel for those people that work out in the elements.
I'm so thankful for the AC! It's 99 and 100 here with heat index even higher. I walked but it just seems too hot for anything!
I'm wishing for a real tomato so I can have a sandwich, gotta go find somewhere to buy some.

What class are you teaching with your Sunday School? I can't remember if you mentioned it...

Our green beans will most likely come in next week when we're on vacation. Figures. I actually planted purple, green, and yellow beans this year. The purple ones will be easy for the kids to pick! :) They are supposed to turn green when cooked. Wierd.

I can't wait for our tomatoes to come in - I eat so many of them that my mouth gets sore. :)

Have a great day!

Wow that's hot. I can see why you cooked inside. What George Foreman grill do you own? I was thinking of getting one of these.

I'm glad to hear you are excited about your trip to Disney. I'll bet this will be a blast for your family. I can't wait to see pictures of your travels.
We definitely have the AC on here too! I'm really grateful for it, ours was on the fritz last week, and we're trying to schedule a new unit to be installed. While I don't want to spend the money, I like to be cool! :)

Sounds like a busy summer for you guys, when are you going to Disney? Fun, fun, your kids will have a blast!

Summer is here too, but it's not quite that hot yet. And our heat index will never be as high as yours because we have no humidity to speak of here.

I'll bet Scott's looking forward to that four day weekend. And I know you're ALL looking forward to the Disney trip.
