My Day

Well it's the first day of school. Scott took Madison. We had her a new outfit laid out and her finger nails manicured, eyebrows waxed and hair trimmed. Locker stuff such as a mirror and magnets and note pads and whatever else you can put in them. It's middle school and I know it shouldn't be a big deal...but it is. To me at least.

So today I'm taking Miller to mom's and I'm getting my hair done this morning. I'm getting my eye brows waxed.....I'm heading down to the farmers market to look for some peaches...I need to make a peach cobbler for me and my neighbor who has had some knee surgery done.

And then I will head to the post office and mail some things.....grab some lunch. And head to pick up Miller and come home to wait for Madison to get off the bus....and sit and listen as she tells me of her big first day as a middle schooler.....

Sounds heavenly. I need to get my kids back in school and get a hair cut! And fresh peaches. YUM. I ordered a box from our high school's catering program and they should be coming soon.

Hope Madison has a good day at school. Emily registers tomorrow and starts on the 15th -- it's a 6th grade only day to get used to the school.

Have a great day;)

I think middle school is a very big deal, Jen. I'll bet Madison does too and I'll bet she talks your ear off when she gets home.

By the way, I bought the stuff to make the recipe you posted yesterday. Krissy and I were shopping together and when she saw what I was going to make, she said, "Andy's aunt Ruth makes that all the time - it's delicious."

Good grief! I'd never even heard of it!

I am sure Madison will have a fine day today. I heard on the news this morning there is a new principal there. He said this year will be really fun for the kids. I went to the same middle school way back when, in fact my 6th grade class was the first ones there! Oh my, I am dating myself.

SlowMo is starting middle school this month too. I've been dying to get ahold of her eyebrows, but she won't let me. Ugh!!! We're going school clothes shopping today, and I'm excited because she's starting to get some good taste!!

Hope Madison has a wonderful first day of school!
I'm still trying to decide if you really got her eyebrows waxed or you're kidding. At 53, I've never had that done! Either she's way ahead or I'm about 40 years behind schedule.
