A Day to Myself

Today Miller goes to mom's and I get a WHOLE day to myself people......I'm going for an ice coffee first off. Then to get my nails done. Heaven. After this I'm going to hit the mall by myself....and possibly eat lunch with girlfriends. I have some small errands to run after lunch.

So today I'm spending time with myself...I cannot wait. And can I tell you something??? I'm learning how to text.....something I said I would never do....well...I'm learning. I guess I have come to the understanding Madison does this and this is how she communicates in this world right now...so I must learn to do this so I can understand her....make since? It's really not that bad..I'm sorta slow..but who cares..right?

Yesterday Miller and I spent the day with my mom....we had lunch out and ran around....not a bad day. The weather here has been great...low 80's and very nice to sit outside...last night we sat in the swing under the tree in the front yard and the breeze was blowing..it felt as if it were fall. Nice.

Well....I'm off to get kids up fed and ready so I can enjoy my day.....I hope you enjoy yours as well.

Alone time is priceless! I rarely get it, I'm sure you are the same way. My husband on the other hand gets it daily during the week. He is retired (medically disabled). I must admit that there are days I am quite jealous. When I get up at 5:30am and am out of the door at 6am to get to work and he is still snoring away it tends to kind of piss me off, know what I mean? He doesn't understand why I need time alone. I usually just go up to the barn and talk to the horses.

It sounds like a perfect day. I am counting the days (only 5!) until my kids are back in school and I can find some 'alone time'. I vowed I'd never text either. But it does come in handy for keeping in touch with my teen when he's out and about. He's more likely to text than to call, so whatever works!
Yeah! Some time to yourself....how fantastic. We Mommy's need those special kind of alone days....Enjoy!

I used to have lots and lots of days all to myself. But that was before grandchildren started arriving. LOL

So I'm in your Mom's position now. If my daughter gets a day to herself, it's because I don't - her kids are with me. :-)

Enjoy it! And I'm sure your Mom would agree with me - we enjoy your days to yourselves because we get quality time with the grands.
Wow, whatever will you do with all of that free time?! LOL, sounds like you've got a great day planned, hope you have a blast :)

ENJOY YOURSELF!!!!!

I am with you on the texting as well. Laura Grace is of course no where near that BUT my brother who is eighteen and several of MY friends only communicate that way. I have gotten to appreciate its convienence!

Hope you enjoyed your day! I LOVE alone time!

Texting comes in handy when you don't feel like getting stuck in a long phone conversation! ;)

Jen,
I hope you had a wonderful day to yourself! With two teenagers I've had to learn to text. I'm still not fast at it, but today my son was teaching me how to use the t9 feature. He says that is how they text so fast! Who would have known?

Hey, Jen~ I am neck-deep in working on the house, but just read about you starting to text. It's fun. Do you have AT&T?
