Rainy Day

It doesn't look like this here...but I wished it did. It's raining outside and has been all night.....we are under a flood watch which wont bother me any as I'm high up. But......the rain keeps coming.
My Hot Chocolate Party went well. Everyone enjoyed themselves....it was alot of fun. I made homemade cocoa and had tons of toppings. This morning my neighbor across the street whom I haven't got a chance to get to know yet is coming over for coffee. She is a stay home mom too.

I made some candy last week. I made haystacks, some fudge, turtles, ritz bitz dipped in white chocolate and tons of cookies.....this week I'm going to bake......breads and scones. I have never made scones but have found some great recipes on line.

This morning while me and L are drinking coffee Miller is going to work on Christmas craft and watch a movie. Hopefully that will tied him over.

My meal plan for this week will be as follows

Monday...Breaded Pork Chops...twice baked potatoes, veggie casserole

Tuesday...Italian Beef and chips...gymnastics night and I always need a crock pot meal....

Wednesday....not eating at church as I do not like pork loin ..so leftovers.....

Thursday.....Salmon Patties, greens and mac and cheese

Friday....the kids have places to be so me and Scott are going to dinner and some Christmas Shopping

Saturday.....Orange Chicken with rice

Sunday....Scott's parents are coming for dinner...Lasagna, salad, bread......dessert..chocolate Toffee Pie and for an appetizer.....Sausage Pinwheels....this is their Christmas Dinner I cook for them every year I also do one for my parents..but that is next week. Just something special I do.

I hope you all have a great week.......I will talk to you soon.

All that candy sounds mmMM good!

It's great that you cook a special meal for your parents and in-laws individually. That in itself is a nice holiday gift :)

Pretty picture! It kind of looks like that here in North Dakota. Except we don't have that many trees! LOL Your week sounds tasty! Have a good one!! :)
You've got a lot going on and some good meals this week Jen! I'm not doing much cooking so probably shouldn't have done a menu...all that baking, yum.
I'm going to need directions to your house because I am eating at your place EVERY night this week! ;)
Your menu sounds so delicious!

Glad your hot chocolate party went well - such a fantastic idea!

Have fun with your new friend...

How nice there's another SAHM just right across the street. I am one of the few in my neighborhood and it gets kind of lonely!

How delicious! Care to share your recipe for chocolate toffee pie? Just thinking about something like that makes my mouth water! Your tradition of cooking a holiday dinner for both sets of parents is so wonderful; I wish I could do that.

I was glad to hear from you too. I was so busy. I had relatives come in in May, then my best friend from 3rd grade, then my in-laws, then my other friend who stayed for two months waiting for her husband to get back from Iraq and then they found housing in Oct. When my in-laws were here they played this game called pogo online and one would use the main computer and the other my laptop. Then my two teen would do the same thing for their homework and by the time everyone was done I was just too tired. I did keep up with reading your blogs, just not commenting. I felt funny trying to use the computer when they were all here. Congratulations on the new house. The pictures were awesome.

I wish I could of come to your hot cocoa party, that sounded yummy!

I hope to get back to blogging and then the wave will hit again next May. My daughter is graduating from high school and my daughter and her 3 kids, plus my parents, plus my friend are all coming. So how much of May and June I will get to use the computer who knows.

Anyway it's nice to be a little bit back.
