Madison

Today I'm going to write about Madison's Baptism.....I as a mother was a nervous wreck....I forgot to pack her a towel...I forgot to pack her clean panties. I just crack under pressure. She was so excited about it though. While sitting in the room talking to the preacher....he said Madison you will be #4.....(there were 7 getting baptized that night)...she leaned over and said..I'm just glad I get to go. We got up there to get the robes on and I could barely get her snapped in. I was so nervous...she just looked at me and said...get a helper in here to help me...Ha Ha..that's Madison taking control of her destiny. So I kissed her and said I love you baby...I'm proud of you and I walked off. When I got downstairs.....so many of my friends and family were there....to share with Scott and I a perfect evening for Madison. We had 3 rows saved and filled. Everyone was there for one reason and one reason alone....Madison was taking the biggest step of her life....a walk with Christ. Well she did it......I have pictures...but will have to post this weekend.....my camera is acting up. When it was all over...I went upstairs to help her get changed and she smiled really big and said I did it......me and Jesus will be together for eternity.....I smiled and said yes baby you will be........after that she went in full gear looking for an outlet to blow dry her hair.......she is still a drama queen...but that is what makes her Madison....my Madison.....

Congratulations, what a wonderful thing to watch our children get baptized isn't it?

Have a beautiful day Jen :)
That is the most precious picture....Truly....breathtaking.

Forgive my ignorance, but when do you baptize a child? We did our three when they were infants, which our religion dictates. I always felt odd about it, because they were not able to make their own decision...I made it for them. Religion is a whole other topic for me, though....anyway, I am so happy you all enjoyed this momentous occasion.

Now Jen that is a precious moment. Make Madison a mini-scrapbook with the post from your blog today, the pictures of her baptism, the dates of it & when she accepted Christ. Write in her words her experience & then yours & Scott's thoughts on it...SAVE IT for her to remind her later down the road when Satan is trying to tell her she is not God's child...she can pull that thing out be reminded of her faith & commitment to GOD. It will be so important to her later on Jen. What a nice post today. One of my 3 boys are saved. I am thankful for the one but my other two are a constant burden in my heart.
