Girl Talk

Good Friday Morning everyone! Grab a cup of coffee...I have several creamers in the fridge.....Coconut, Pumpkin Spice, French Vanilla....and the newest Peppermint Mocha.......so fix your coffee up I just made the kids Cinnamon Toast and I can make you a piece if you'd like....so lets talk........
Let's see...what's going on at my place?
Well, Madison has a field trip today to the Technology Center......and it's raining.....that ought to be fun...and messy all wrapped into one. Her Halloween Party is Tuesday and I'm a Room Mom...so I have been picking up last minute things for the Gig.....speaking of Halloween.....we finally decided on our costume for tomorrow night......Drum Roll please............
Yep......you guessed it......Scott is going to be Earl Hickey and well, I'm going as Joy......his ex-wife...we love this show....we laugh so hard when we watch it........you should see the costumes I have put together.........hilarious.....I cant wait to post pictures on it....I know we will have a blast.
If you haven't seen this show....it comes on Thursday nights at 7pm......too funny.
I have been to all the Goodwill's here and Salvation Army's.......its been fun getting the costumes together.....

Lets see...other things happening at my house.......still getting my Christmas lists together and menu's......I love doing this......it makes me feel organized and ready for December...........

This will be a big year for little Miller.....this will be his 2nd Christmas but boy wont it be a memorable one????? He will be into everything.....I hope he doesn't tear my tree down. Madison never bothered the tree much.......we gave her some cloth ornaments to play with and she played with those...we kept them in a basket by the tree so she would have them on hand. We have already started shopping for both of them......Madison of course about 7 CD's.....and Miller a riding toy.......I have been to the Gap and Limited Too for Madison and gotten her some things......and she wants these shoes called Heeley's??????? They have a roller skate in the heal....so I have found them and they are $80.......Holy Cow......She also has asked for some DVD's and I have gotten them....wanted to get some things early in case they run out....you never know. Miller...is getting a table and chair set.......and a red wagon. We already have some little things....and of course Stocking Stuffers.......I always wait and get these at Target.....they always have the best things here.

Its raining here today....but that is okay...Scott is renting Monster House and The Lake House for movies this weekend....looking forward to seeing them.......tonight we are hanging at home....we have gone so much in the past couple of days and we are ordering in........hooray...no cooking for me. My neck is still hurting....not much has changed...I know where I got it from....rocking Miller in his glider........the way I sit. OUCH!!!!!
DID ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE ON WEANING??????????? I START NURSING 2 DAYS A WEEK NOVEMBER 1ST.......I WANT TO BE DONE BY THANKSGIVING.......ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED....

Well, I hope you all have a blessed weekend.......I'll check in with you later.

Can't wait to see you guys as Earl and Joy...we absolutely LOVE that show!!! It's so hilarious!!

Emily likes Limited Too also. If you sign Madison up for their birthday club they'll send you a 20% off your entire purchase coupon around her birthday. I'm lucky in that Emily's birthday is in November so I can use the coupon to get birthday and Christmas stuff.

Have a great weekend!

Good morning Jen! Oh I can't wait to see your Halloween costumes. Sounds hilarious! We are going as a family of pirates. I am down to three feeds as well with my son and am hoping to get that down to two as well in the next couple of weeks. All I know is that it would be pointless to go to the bottle at this point cause then you only have to wean off that. So I'm going to try just replacing his feed with milk from a sippy cup. Gibee from Kisses of Sunshine recommended a good one as her Works for Me Wednesday tip this week. Let me know how it goes. Have a great day. Would love to know what CD's you are getting Madison...I need ideas and I'm so not hip! Laura
Oh I do hope you post pics!!!

The Technology Center sounds like it would be a great place to go. Let us know how Madison liked it.

Great costumes. I think people will get a kick out of these.

My son had gotten Heely's a few years ago and he loves them. They are pricey but last quite a while. They seem to be big with kids of all ages.

Watch out for your tree. Having a boy and a Christmas tree is way different than a girl and a Christmas tree so good luck. I am probably going to go through the same thing. It seems boys never grow out of touching things. I swear my hubby is always touching something. You can't bring him to any pricey stores because he wants to pick everything up and look at it. See they are from Mars.

The last time I watched My Name is Earl, he was shopping from a friend's wedding registry at a liquor store! Everything on the registry was booze. I don't watch it because it's on the same time as Survivor.

We did watch Lake House last week. Got it from Netflix. I loved it but I have to admit that's because I like Sandra and Keanu so much. I stayed confused pretty much through the whole movie until the end. :-)

What a nice chatty post. I love these kind of posts and am trying to do more of them myself.

Hi I was reading your blog have fun on Halloween.an't wait to see the pics. Re the weaning I nursed for 10 months then put my daughter on a sippy cup, my mom also suggested putting your son on a sippy cup as she put my sister on a bottle after nursing and you just have to wean off the bottle. Good luck on that. Have a great day,

You know... I have a confession to make. I don't like to drink coffee. I can't stand the taste of it. There, I said it. I'm a tea drinker. It's true.

That being said, with all of those cool creamer flavours you mentioned I just might become a convert. LOL
