My day book

For more day books go on over to see Peggy @ The Simple Woman

For Today...January 5th

Outside my Window...people are getting back into routine. Going back to school and work. Lights on cars keep passing by....and lights in homes are starting to come on.

From the learning rooms...we are making peanut butter bird feeders and working the letter B. We are also painting this week. Miller got new paints and an art easel from Santa.

I'am thinking....that schedules and routines sound wonderful.

I'am thankful.....for having my family home for the holidays. It was nice to have Scott and Madison home with me and Miller these past 2 weeks. We bonded and really enjoyed each other.
I'am going...to the hospital today. Scott's dad is having his gallbladder taken out and I'm going to sit with his momma.

From the kitchen this week...Spaghetti pie, Grilled Steaks with twiced baked potatoes and ceasar salads, Burritos and finally making Ooey Gooey Butter cake

I am wearing..pajamas...grey pants and grey gap tee.

I am reading...The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder

I am hoping...things go well with my father in laws surgery and that Scott and Madison both have peaceful days.

I am creating...a Disney file on line. We are going to disneyworld this year and we have started planning.

I am hearing...Madison cook an egg for her breakfast.

Around the house..laundry..and mopping the kitchen floor along with cleaning bathrooms...and baseboards.

One of my favorite things...dinner at Olive Garden with friends....last night.

Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week..gymnastics, lunch with a dear friend, a playdate, MOPS night group and Daygroup....We are teaching the Dave Ramsey class on Sunday night as well. And I'm speaking at the Night MOPS group on cooking tips....a birthday party for Miller to attend and a date with hubby thrown in also.

A picture thought I would like to share

Routines are nice to get back to! I'm trying as well, and trying to get caught up.
Happy new year Jen!

We love Dave Ramsey - my kids can't wait to call his show and scream "we're debt free" ! Hope the surgery all goes well.

I, too, am looking forward to getting back to our routine.

Have a good week!

Hello, Jen! As usual I just love reading your thoughts. Routines sound heavenly to me, also...unfortunately, DS does not feel the same way! He's been dragging his feet both yesterday and today! Gotta love homeschooling!!
