Friday talk

It's Friday afternoon. What a week we have had. It has just flown by us. Good things though.

Here are a few things happening around here.

1. We had our first MOPS meeting and it was great. We had around 35 moms and 8 that normally come didn't show....so we are doing awesome. The fellowship was great. And I loved my group.

2. Scott was off yesterday so I got to go to Walmart by myself.....which is a treat. 2 hours...yes 2 hours at Walmart...remember I grocery shop for 2 weeks at a time....and only spent $270...not bad.

3. Madison had 2 tests this week which she scored high on both. Thank the Lord. Middle School is harder than I remember.

4. Miller started his first music class this week. Little ones gather together and play music once a week for 30 minutes. He did well. Better than I expected. He really enjoyed the keyboards.

5. Wednesday I had lunch with a dear friend. We ate at a great little restaurant downtown. I had the Grilled Chicken Greek salad....oh my gosh it was so good. I really enjoyed our catching up giggling till we cried conversation. Seeing her always makes me smile.

6. The weather here has cooled down feeling like fall already. It was so nice today. Miller and I ate lunch outside and played. Normally it has been so hot we do our playing outside before 10am.

7. We have a playdate Monday with friends and we are looking forward to this.

I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend. Madison is staying the night with a friend tonight. Scott and I are grilling pork chops. Not sure my sides...maybe a salad. Miller has a birthday party to go to tomorrow...at 2 he is starting to get invites already....but this is a good thing for him. We picked his friends gift out today. It was kind of fun.
Scott works tomorrow....which is fine. We may hang out at home and then do the party. Sunday is church and then we have a friend having a cook out in the late afternoon. I'm making Strawberry lemonade and Potatoe Casserole....I'm hoping you all have a great weekend. I'll talk to you on Monday.
