Day 2 at swim lessons.

So day 2 of swim lessons. And we started out under the table by the pool. Yep. There I was sitting in a chair trying to convince him to get out from under the table. "Mommy I'm scared". Do I take him home, and let him not face his fear or do I tell him the teacher will just come get him? You guessed it....I told him the teacher would come get him. Yes I did. He crawled out from under the table took my hand and we headed to the pool. We made a deal to sit on the steps. So we sat. But I was okay with that...he was in the pool. He watched the other kids do their bubbles, dunk their head under and glide to the side of the pool. All the while I asked..do you want to do this with mommy? No...the steps are pine (fine). So then the teacher comes for Miller..and he went to her..no problem. He did everything she asked...he listened and then came right back to the steps. I was so proud. then it was time to swim for rings....throwing the rings to the bottom...we are in 3 foot water remember this...and taking your child and positioning them in a dive position and dunking them down...yes dunking your own child...they go down grab the rings and push themselves up. I did not think Miller would do this. I really did not. I will be honest. So I worried.
She came for him and did it....he grabbed all the rings but 3 and the second time grabbed the three and pushed himself up. I was so excited. Great Job Miller!
He told the teacher then that he loved to do that...so mommy and Miller practiced this for at least 20 minutes...back and forth. We also practiced floating on our backs. He wasn't that excited about that..but he did it.
And at the end of the day he got a sucker. A Blue one. His favorite.

So today we go back...day 3. Not sure if we will go right into the pool, or if we will be under the table...but my boy loved the rings...and I cant wait to see daddy's face when he does it for him.

I was so scared he wouldn't go back into the water. Good job Mom, plus the teacher didn't do too bad either! Tell Miller that Trailboss is proud of him. I can just see the look on his face. lol
