Lexington Or Bust

So I have been waiting to tell you about Madison. She is on the Journalism team at school....along with this she does a news cast at school. She has been anchor and a reporter and LOVES it.
Last fall she and 9 other kids were chosen to do a presentation and take it to a local competition. They won. They were selected to go on to state. So on Monday afternoon my daughter was packed and ready to go to Lexington with these other 9 students. 4500 students in Ky were there at Rupp Arena for 2 1/2 days. I did not go. They had 4 Chaperone's. She had a ball. They did not win nor did they place but she went on a trip without me or Scott and had so much fun. She came home tonight with a sinus and allergy problem but over all had so much fun. I'm so proud of her. They believed in something and went for it.
Since she has been gone Scott and I have had to entertain Miller and do things special with him. We have gone to the park played outside bought him special little toys to open through out the day. Today was for me and Scott....see Scott played golf this morning while I watched Miller and then I had lunch with a friend and a pedicure. NICE.
So that is it.....Madison had so much fun. I was so proud on those 10 kids.
Tomorrow I'm cleaning the house...it's going to rain and I need to do some major cleaning.

Yay for Madison! I know you're proud, she's growing up fast and doing such fun things! That will be a great memory for her and quite the honor.
I've got to clean too!
What a girl!! You must be one proud Mama! Can you believe she's big enough to go do something like that already?! I know I am going to blink my eyes and Eve will be doing stuff like that too.

I am so happy for you that you had some time just for Jen! And you got pretty toes out of the deal! :)

Wow that is something. Congratulations to Madison and her team for getting as far as they did. What an honor. Future journalists in the making. It sounds like she is a very independant young girl. Boy do they grow up fast. I bet a few years back you didn't picture the day your little girl would go anywhere without you. It sounds like she does fine, she must be very mature.
