Weekend Talk

Good morning everyone. It's the weekend. I love the weekends. I wanted to let you know what is going on over here.

My Parents got home yesterday afternoon!!!!! Can you here me singing? Yes...it was wonderful.
The kids were very excited. We had a dinner auction at Madison's school last night so Miller stayed with mom and dad. It was nice to spend some time with just Madison.

Scott is working today. So I'm going to sign her up for Volleyball and we are going to run around.
I need to catch up on my laundry later today.

Yesterday was grocery day. It wasn't that bad.

My parents brought me home some fresh Florida grapefruit and strawberries. I love fruit.

Scott's parents leave for a week long cruise this morning. Scott's grandmother is sick.

Our MOPS group was canceled Thursday due to the ice. That was a bummer.

We are trying to book our family summer vacation. We are not sure what we are doing. We cant do California now....different reasons...we will go next year. So do we go to the beach as always or do something different and totally not us? I need some suggestions if you know of somewhere out there that we would have a great time at.

We have church tomorrow. I'm hoping my parents come back......they were visiting our church before they left.

Scott is going out on a guys night out tonight so I'm either staying here and making it movie night or taking the kids to our MOPS family night to Glow Golf....not sure yet. I guess I will see how they act today.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for the prayers for my parents to come home....

Hey Jen!
Glad your folks made it back OK. We have had rain here & it is much needed. Makes for a dreary day but thats OK. I asked to be put on call today......Danny is baby siting The Little Package this weekend while her Mama works. This is the 1st over-night she has had since the parents split. I am proud that her Mama is working & really trying to do whats right. Danny & I are on cloud nine right now.
Wish I could tell you where to vacation at. I always want to go to Townsend Tenn (You know Cades Cove is my favorite place in the whole wide world!) So I cant help you much. I hope you have a great weekend!

You know I'm a fan of the beach, so it's hard for me to think of a summer vacation without sand and sun!

Glad your parents made it back!!

I'm so glad to hear that your parent's made it home safely especially with all the icy weather.

I'm not sure if I have any great vacation ideas. All I ever see here is beach, beach, beach so that doesn't help much.

Lucky girl getting those Florida grapefruits and strawberries. Believe it or not most of our stuff is imported from California so it is not all that fresh unless it is pineapple. My daughter works part time at the commissary and I asked her why the bananas are always green and she said that if they imported them yellow they would be ripened and rotten before we could even put them out. You can imagine how good bananas are that are not ripe and then frozen to import and then thawed out. They never really ripen all the way and then they go bad.

So glad your folks made it safe and sound. I'm always unsettled when someone I love is en route in bad conditions!

Glad your parents are back, I know you're happy! And yum, fruit from Florida, sounds delish.
Sounds like a really good weekend, Jen! I'm so glad your parents are home safely, and I know you're glad they are back :)
