The Storm

We had crazy weather last night. But we made it. Tornadoes all around us. 44 semis turned over just miles from us. A University campus in devastation just an hour from here. We dodged a HUGE bullet. For this I'm thankful. Last I heard over 40 people confirmed dead in the surrounding areas.
Stop and give thanks today people. We have so much to be thankful for.

We must live close to one another...I'm about 90 miles from Memphis on the Arkansas side. We had mild damage here in our town. Fortunately God was watching out for us, but it was definitely a wild night!!

I'm SO glad you're ok Jen....I thought about you and all the other bloggy friends that live in those affected areas. So glad to find out you're all ok. Tornadoes are so scary!

I am so glad to hear that your family is ok. I was at the hospital today waiting for my prescription and couldn't believe seeing this on the news. I hope the weather stabilizes soon. We are pretty stable here, but the Big Island has had much flooding. Not a good story for them. My daughters friend is in China on a mission and there is much devastation there also with the blizzard. I pray everyone is safe. I guess your parents had the right idea, vacation in Florida.

That must have been scary. I am so glad you are ok.
I'm guessing maybe that's Union University you mentioned, didn't realize you were close to it. We're about 3-4 hrs south of it. My kids have been there to Centrifuge summer camps many times.

I feel so bad for everyone affected, Jen. What I saw on the news tonight was just terrible. I saw the college - all those poor students who can't get back into their dorms. Just terrible.
I'm so glad you guys are all ok, Jen. Such terrible storms and devastation, not to mention so many deaths. Just awful.
