Ie Ice and more Ice

I wanted to update you all with a picture in my back yard.....isnt it beautiful? School has been called off now.....whoo hoo.
I love this picture. Doesn't it look inviting? We woke up to a Winter Wonderland of Ice....yes Ice.
The schools are running 2 hours behind...so Madison is sleeping in. They dis missed classes at noon yesterday due to the Ice Storm we got. We lost power last night at about 9:30 and re gained it at midnight. The house was 60 degrees by the time the power came back on. I have each bed toppled over with blankets.
I got up this morning and made sausage biscuits...mini ones. Scott loves them. There is just so much ice everywhere....crazy.

I'm making 7 can soup for dinner...if you want the recipe let me know and I will get it to you. It is really good on a nasty day like today.

We have gymnastics tonight. I need to get out today or tomorrow if possible to get Miller a Valentine present..I have Madison's.

Well....I need to go shower. Have a great day everyone. Talk to you soon.

Ice, oh wow! That's always hard to deal with as is no power.
I wonder if your 7 can soup is similar to one we call 6 can! Send it along if you get a minute.

Oh wow and we've been in the 70's here. It's amazing how different the temperatures can be from one state to the other.

Have a great day Jen :)

Yep we got it too! Everyone thought it was going to hit us late night but it came yesterday evening & came fast! My husband was an hour getting home. It normally takes maybe 10 minutes. I'm sooo ready for flipflops=)
Wanna go visit Sandra? lol!!
And yes I'd love to hear the recipe sounds perfect right now.
Stay warm!
Be careful on the ice!! We had an bit of an ice storm here last week. It was treacherous! But very beautiful too. Have a great day Jen!!

This is a beautiful picture. You guys are really getting hit with all kinds of weather. Aren't the winters there a little bit more mild usually?

Yes publish the 7 can soup recipe. I will make this after I make the Mexican Lasagna. Thanks
Wow, I'm so sorry you guys are having an ice storm. I'm so glad you got your power back so quickly. It's hard to restore it during conditions like that. Be careful if you guys have to get out later :)

You left a comment on my sister's blog, Trailboss, earlier and I wondered in what part of Paducah you lived. We grew up in Lone Oak, she now lives out past Melber. Anyway, just curious.

Stop by sometime.
