Hey Jen...Back from fishin...Had a great time! Cought about 90 somethin..kept about 60 somethin white perch! FUN!! I have a beautiful sunset on the lake I'll show you when I get a chnace. Happy Valentines day!
Oh about your SS class. You may not like what I have to say but it comes from training in SS that I say these things. From what you & Sue are saying..Your class is too big number one! Every Dead Frog Must Wiggle...E is for evangelism, D is for discipleship, F is for fellowship, M is for ministry, & W is for worship. This is what Sunday School is for. Take a survey in your class asking these questions among your memebers. 1. What do you believe the purpose of Sunday School is for? 2. How do you believe your class as a whole meets the standards of Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry, and Worship. There has to be a balance among them. Often with groups that are too large they are stronger in certain areas vs. others. Cliques usually happen when classes are too big & a new class should be "Birthed" from it. Jen it is hard when new members come in to the class & there will be stronger bonds among certain folks. That is OK but what I see here is a class that is doing REALLY well & there needs to be a new class "Birthed" from the one you are in. THIS IS GOOD! It's exciting! If you want to know more e-mail me. Oh, one other thing...when was the last time the members of your class were given a "Spiritual Gifts" test? Oh this excites me!!! My old e-mail doesnt work any more since I got hi-speed. tinastone1971@yahoo.com
Happy Valentines Day to you too, Jen. I love Tina Leigh's comments on SS classes. Our church recently "birthed" a new class. I didn't even think of that since it wasn't my class, but they made a huge deal out of it, with guys dressed in scrubs and everything. I'm glad you have a wonderful group of friends! That is so important.
