Just some small talk

The showing went well yesterday. I have never cleaned a house like I cleaned and de cluttered this one.....EVER! They loved the location the price and everything about it. We will see. They moved in with her parents last night they are kind of in a situation. I did however tell them I needed 45-60 days notice. No contract has been signed and we have 3 other people wanting to see the house. I don't even have a fore sale sign in yard...for me this is kind of sad. This was our first home we bought...my children have grown here. Selling and purchasing anything over $1000 is huge for me. Do me a favor people pray I can get through this......

I'm not doing a meal plan this week.....Madison is home from school today and my mom is coming over tonight to cook dinner with me....and I have a crazy week..so I didn't do one...but if you would like to check it out go on over and see my friend Laura....I think she had close to 100 last week....

Today, we are taking flowers to the cemetery for Papaw Dub.....Madison hasn't been back since he died 4/20 last year. So we thought today would be good..the sun is shining and its beautiful out.

No cleaning on this house....since it's spotless. I'am however cooking Chicken Enchiladas from Allrecipes...this one is great...don't miss it. I'm posting it below.

I hope you all have a great Presidents Day......talk to you tomorrow.

CHICKEN ENCHILADAS

FOUND AT ALLRECIPES.COM

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken breast meat
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 6 (12 inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup milk

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the green onion until tender (about 3 to 4 minutes). Add the garlic powder, then stir in the green chiles, cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Mix well. Reserve 3/4 of this sauce and set aside. To the remaining 1/4 of the sauce in the saucepan, add the chicken and 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese. Stir together.
  3. Fill each flour tortilla with the chicken mixture and roll up. Place seam side down in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl combine the reserved 3/4 of the sauce with the milk. Spoon this mixture over the rolled tortillas and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.

I have never sold a house, only bought so I have no idea how stressful that might be. I CAN imagine though. I hope everything goes smoothly.

SOOOOOOO glad the showing went well! I hope you will have a contract signed soon! I know that must be hard. This is our first home to buy..and we have only been here 9 months. But...even the rent houses we had before....I would get sad leaving them. Although they weren't actually ours...we made memories there..and it will be missed! So I know where you are coming from! But just know that whatever house you live in next, many more great memories are to come! Have a great week!

The recipe looks delicious.
I understand how you feel about selling your house. It is bittersweet, particularly since you have made memories within those walls.

Wow, Jen. It sounds like you're going to sell this house pretty quickly. Have you two found one you like yet? How exciting.

I have a crazy week too and the even crazier thing is I simply do not know why. I'm losing it! LOL
