Works for Me Wednesday

MOM I'M BORED

Madison is already saying it...we have been out of school 5 days.
So...I'm looking to you all to give me some ideas that I dont already have.

Here are my summer plans.

going to the farmer's market weekly

side walk chalk and bubbles

going to the pool....OFTEN

taking morning walks

painting outside with finger paints

making sun tea

hopscotch and jumping on the trampoline

eating lots of Popsicles and ice cream

visits to the local museums

parks with picnics and feeding ducks

amish country roads to explore

lunch with daddy

$1 movie day

Yard Sales

So that is all I have.....any ideas that you all have..throw them at me. I'm a desperate housewife/mommy this summer....remember my kids are 11/girl and 2/boy

For more info on kids being bored this summer go see Shannon at Rocks in my Dryer....it's the Mom I'm Bored Summer Edition.....we all need some help once in awhile!

All really fantastic ideas! Sounds like summer will be great at your house.
Great list!
You've got some good ideas! That being bored thing kinda goes with summer and kids at times. I like the farmer's market and $1 movies, fun. Something I did with my kids when they were older, Madison maybe but not quite Miller yet....they had a day/night of the week and it was their turn to cook supper! Or at least plan it and have a big part in it so you might could do that if she's interested.

Love this idea. We'll mix it up so that we don't get waterlogged swimming too much. Thanks for the suntea reminder. Love your blog and you may like my starbucksmama dot com. ;) Another thing we have in common.

Really cool blog! Love the Farmer's Market idea, in Colorado when we go visit, they even have a band playing at the market at night. So much fun!

Sounds like a great way to keep your little ones happy this summer, Jen. I couldn't resist buying Cameron a big bucket of sidewalk chalk. I figured he could draw all over the back patio and it would be fine. But he likes to draw on the patio door screen. And that stuff is impossible to get off screens! Arrggghhhh.

Horse backing at LBL is fun. It is on this side of the dam. Not too far at all from Kenlake. Check it out (I assume it is still open). If not Wranglers at LBL toward the tennessee line has a great trail ride.
