Just Chatting

It's Thursday. We went to the pool yesterday and had a great time. Several of my friends were there. We really enjoyed it. We had a meeting at church last night and did leftovers. I'm going over my grocery list and menu for the next 2 weeks. We have a pretty laid back weekend coming up.
Tomorrow is grocery day and then lunch with my mom and running around. Saturday we are going to hang out at home as we prepare for friends to come over for dinner. Sunday is Father's Day and we are going to the pool and I'm cooking a big dinner for Scott for afterwards....Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans...homemade bread and a Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert.....yum yum.
Madison has got something pretty big next week..but will tell you later.
We are cleaning the house today. Not so much fun. My jeep got a second opinion and much lower price so it is being fixed today. My Tile guy is coming to measure for our back splash in the kitchen today and Scott's mom is taking Madison to lunch. So still a busy day...but not too bad. Dinner tonight is BLT's with chips...on the deck with a big glass of iced tea. I hope your week is ending well and you are getting ready for a great weekend.

Sounds like you are going to have a nice weekend.

Glad to hear that your jeep is going to cost a lot less then what the first guy said it would be. Like I said same thing happened to me with my kids braces.

Enjoy your BLT's. I am going to try the King Ranch Chicken Casserole next week. Thanks.

Hi, Jen. Yes, my week is ending well, and I am getting ready for a good weekend. I looking forward to it.

Your dinner tonight sounds so good and relaxing.

I am cleaning and getting some things accomplished on the computer today, listening to a class from church on CD that I am taking by correspondence.

So glad your Jeep is costing less. I just had to have my ac fixed and a new hose put on just yesterday. We sure take it for granted when our vehicles are running fine, don't we?

Can't wait to hear Madison's big news!
Hmmmmm.....your husband is so lucky!
;-)

Have a great weekend!

P.s. I got the canisters at World Market (or Cost Plus) but I think Target has them too.
Life sounds pretty good at your house!

Daniel has been asking me to make iced tea - I'm a tea snob and I don't have my regular brand of tea. I think I'm going to have to buy it online. It will be worth it though!

Have a wonderful weekend and a very delicious Father's Day!

Yeah for a pool in the hot summer :) Glad you guys have fun and sounds like you have a great weekend coming up. Man, I would love to come eat with you guys for Father's Day, LOL!

I'm so glad the second opinion came in better on your car. What a relief and a blessing! Can't wait to see photos of your work you're getting done.

Have a great day!

Dropped in to say hi. Did you try Carney's on Kentucky Ave? He only works on foreign vehicles. He is good and honest. Not so much on the cheap side but he will fix it right. His shop is across from Owen Cleaners on Broadway. His name is Carey Carney not to be confused w/the Carneeds out off of Park ave.

All your food talk is making me hungry! You've inspired me to want to make a really nice dinner for my hubby on Sunday night:) I might just follow your lead and do fried chicken - I mean, who doesn't LOVE that??

PS - that iced tea, it's sweetened, isn't it? I just have the feeling about you:)
