It's Friday!

For more Favorite things go visit Suzanne over at Living to tell the story....

1. The first day of school. I was not sad for Madison going back. I'm ready for structure and schedules. I did a happy dance once she was dropped off. I really did!

2. Swimming alot the last couple of days. We love to swim. We have decided to go ahead and put a pool in next year. That is all my family loves to do in the summer time.

3. Fresh cut flowers from my neighbor. She has a beautiful flower garden. She cuts me fresh flowers at least once a week in the summer time and brings them to me....it makes me smile...in return I bake her lots of sweet treats! She is great to me.

4. America's Got Talent. We are watching this as a family. And loving it. We have laughed so much. One of the finalist the chicken farmer from Mayfield lives 20 minutes from my town....go chicken Farmer....we voted alot for him the other night.

5. Taking food to friends. I enjoy taking a meal to friends. I do it at least once a week. I do. I'm not bragging...just laying it out. I love my friends and this way I can show them with food.

Stephanie goes to GCHS with Skinner's son. It is really being pumped up there. He is doing a great job so far! I love that you find such joy giving food to friends. I don't think there is a better way. Have a great weekend.

I'd love being on the recieving end of one of your meals. what a nice thing to do.

We don't start school around here until Aug. 31 this year. Usually it's after the long weekend in Sept.

I'll be doing the happy dance in exactly 12 days. I love that you and your neighbor trade flowers for baked goods! And giving a meal blesses a family 10 times over. Great list. I need to get over and blog something. I've neglected my poor blog for too long.

Great symbiotic relationship with your neighbor! I'll move in next door, ok?

It's good to get back to a structured schedule. I hope it will still include some swimming.

When summer comes to an end and Staples starts running the back to school shopping commercial with the Christmas song, "It's the most wonderful time of the year," I can't help but laugh. I'm sure most parents celebrate the start of every new school year, LOL!

I enjoyed your five...Taking food or inviting someone for food is such a sign of hospitality.
It really models something to your children that will go far beyond.
