Where in the world have I been????

I cant believe I havent posted since March! I have been gone. Things have been so crazy around here. We went to New York City for Spring Break..WOW~! Such an amazing city...so different for this Kentucky gal! We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and walked to Times Square and just walked until night time....eating dinner at Carmines...so good in the Theater District. Thursday we were up early and gone...it was hot...record breaking temps people..92! I sweat and I'm sure we all smelled some. We took a tour bus that was called a hop on hop off bus and it was so so so cool. We saw everything we wanted from this bus for 2 days. We went to the Statue of Liberty and toured Ellis Island..such a good thing to do at least once! We saw upper Manhattan and lower...checked out Trump Towers...did the Today Show where we met Meredith! Such a sweet woman...she got her picture with Madison! Saw the Empire State Building..went to Ground Zero which was so emotional....tears to our eyes....brought that whole day back... ate cupcakes at bakeries in Greenwich Village and sweet little cafe's in Soho. New Yorkers are not like me though....they are on a mission...they go go go go go ! We went to Radio Music City hall....and just wondered Broadway and ending our adventure with a musical.

New York city is an amazing place to visit. So many possibilities lie here. But this Ky gal....is happy to be home...happy to be running to soccer practices and tball practices....happy to be home with her family.

I plan on trying to get back into the swing of things my friends....bloggin one of them...right now I'm on the deck with a glass of ice tea trying to get some sun.

By the way Madison made the cheer squad yet again for next year.....Go Madison....

Talk to you soon!

I can't imagine what it would be like to see NYC. SO big and SO busy. You're right, people there are different (or so I've heard)...on a mission is an excellent way to put it. What great memories you and Scott are creating for your family. I'm glad yall are home safe and sound. We went to Ohio to see 3 of our grandkids and I know that feeling of being back home. There honestly is no where like it!

Looking forward to some pictures!

Sounds like you all had an amazing time in NY. I love NY. I grew up in NJ so I spent a lot of time there. I know what you mean by go, go, go. It's one of the reasons why I could never live on the East coast again. We are headed to Ft. Campbell so I'm looking forward to this. I lived in OK for 6 years and loved it.

Congratulation to Madison on making the cheerleading squad again. Way to go!

It's so good to have you back! Loved hearing about your trip to NYC and would love to see some photos (hint, hint). It's an amazing place to visit, but I don't think I could handle the pace either. I would love to spend some time there, though.
