For Today...December 1st

Outside my Window...the sky is dark....it is 39 and the weather forecast says we will get a wet snow slush today.

From the learning rooms...this week we are talking about Advent. He may not understand but I plan to make an advent calender with him out of construction paper.

I'am thinking....of the way I will decorate the dining room for the holidays...should I set the table with my Spode Christmas dishes or not?

I'am thankful.....for getting to stay home with Miller

I'am going...no where today.....the rest of the week is another story.

From the kitchen this week...Beef Stroganoff, King Ranch Chicken Casserole, Breakfast....grilled burgers...White Lightning candy...and maybe some toffee....just a few things this week going on .

I am wearing...my silk robe

I am reading...Christmas notebooks and magazines

I am hoping...to get the rest of the holiday decor up..it has taken me 2 days.

I am creating...menus and lists

I am hearing...the television go on.

Around the house...stripping sheets, and laundry..the house is clean.

One of my favorite things...a sunset on the beach..with a tropical drink.

Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...gymnastics, my bible study, MOPS Christmas Brunch, a Christmas Party with my gal pals, lunch with a dear friend for my birthday, coffee with an old friend for my birthday, Miller has his 3 yr check up this week and his 2nd dose of the flu mist, and dinner with hubby one night along with a cookie exchange...63 cookies baby!

A picture thought..our Christmas Tree...last year...I'm still working on this years.

Glad you're back! The tree is lovely. My stepdaughter and her husband are coming out this week to help my husband get ours up. In other words they will do it for him!

Linked to yours through Peggy's...the coffee in your title drew me to you! Everything is better with a cup of java!

Your tree is beautiful - I got all of our decorations up over the weekend but it took all three days so I know what you mean about the time.

Have another cup and good luck with the decorations - God bless your week.

You have a busy week with all your activities! I say definitely set your table with your Christmas dishes, how fun! I've not even started yet on anything but desperately need to...and will have a hard time since Don may not be able to help!

Would you post the recipe for White Lightning Candy for us? It sounds intriguing. I looked through ALL your recipes hoping it was there to no avail!
