Last minute things

Good Morning friends. It's a quiet morning here. School is out again. 3 days. You would think we are under a national disaster or something. We are not. Madison only has one more day of school this week and she and Scott will both be home until January. Good times. Actually I'm looking forward to seeing them. Spending family time that is.
Some things I have left to do before Christmas is to buy 5 more gift cards...finish wrapping a few presents...make some more fudge....and toffee....and snow candy....cooking for 3 more dinner parties....which will be loads of fun.
Tonight is the first of three dinner parties....the menu is .... Swiss Chicken, green beans, tater tot casserole...bread...artichoke square appetizers....Poinsettia Punch with a little rum added. Dessert is triple Mud pie...with coffee and Baileys....
We have another dinner on Saturday night and another Tuesday night....so it will get busy around the house.
I sent Scott with a platter of goodies this morning for the office.....they enjoy my candy baking abilities...lol. Actually one guy asked for the White Lighting this year....he got his own little batch.
Madison and I had our own day yesterday. We had lunch out and shopped at the mall for awhile...ran to the library and picked up all 4 seasons of the Office so we can enjoy them throughout the holidays....laughing. She had her Christmas party at church last night and I baked brownies and frosted them....2 came home.
Today we are cleaning the house and cooking...Miller is going to work on a craft while we do this.
A day to stay home and get things done.
Enjoy the last days of the hustle and bustle everyone.

Hustle and bustle is right, Jen. I'll be husting and bustling with the best of them this weekend. LOL

The photo is absolutely gorgeous. You need to tell me where you find the wonderful images you post. I'm a little weary of Microsoft Clipart. :-)

My boss's wife also makes tons of yummy candy items at Christmas time. He bought some to the office yesterday and put them on my desk! I took a few home for the family last night. They are soooo good.

I went by Walmart after work yesterday and got most of my daughter's shopping done. UGH, now to wrap it. But I am taking off almost all of next week (have to work Friday...boo)so I will have plenty of time to wrap it all.
