Chit Chat

Good Morning. It's been a long week. A busy week at that. The weather here is very cold....and ugly. I think we need some sunshine. Miller has a play date today and a coloring book exchange so we will be busy running. Wish it was snowing instead.
I have been busy making out my grocery lists for Christmas. So many things to go to and cook for. I had a shopping day with an old dear friend yesterday. We really enjoyed our time together. Good talks and lots of laughs...the kind that makes your stomach hurt.
Things are starting to get crazy around here....we have something almost every night. I dont like it that way it just happens.
Madison is going to her first semi formal winter dance tomorrow night. We got a dress. That was hard watching her try on all of the fancy little dresses. But she picked a good one and I'm doing her make up and hair. Dont worry everyone...Scott is chaperoning it.
I think I'm getting a new do tomorrow. I'll let you know so I don't chicken out.
The weekend holds alot of running for us. We have several parties and they are all back to back. I need to do some laundry also.
I only have 4 more gifts to get and still need to wrap. Which I plan on doing during nap time today. Miller wants to un wrap everything.....so I'm wrapping and hiding.
We have started planning our Disney trip for next year. It's going to be exciting. We are looking forward to it.
I hope you all have a great day.

I've decided it's time to start making some lists too. No matter how hard I try to keep it simple, it starts getting a little overwhelming. Lists help me a lot.

As always, you're very busy. I'm so blessed that Christmas basically comes to me - I don't have to go out a lot.

You must post a photo of Madison in her pretty new dress.

A coloring book exchange! How fun is that! This was a fun post. I need to do one like this, to sort out all that's going on. Today is my stay-at-home-day, to get caught up, wrap some gifts that we're giving tomorrow at a Christmas party, and get some laundry done. I wish we lived next door to each other, you and Miller could come over for a cup of coffee this afternoon and we could both take a little break:)

Have a good day, friend:o)

We have had our Christmas with the twin granddaughters but will have our Abby and her family for Christmas Eve which is a tradition of ours. Christmas day will be relaxing for Joe and me. Steph will go to her dad's and we will relax and enjoy the day.

As usual you have your plans right on track. I can't help but being a big green w/envy at how organized you are!
I've started making food lists, and it gets really expensive to buy all the ingredients for certain treats and gifts. I should have been buying them along, but I'm not that smart! I think we have most of our shopping done, but the wrapping is another story. And I haven't done my Christmas cards, which is odd. I've usually got them done by now, so I feel really behind!

Sounds like you guys are as busy as always Jen! Hope you have time to stop and enjoy the season and enjoy the time with your family. Take care and Merry Christmas!

Hey, Jen. The pics your are posting are gorgeous!

It is such a busy time of the year. Can't wait to hear about the formal (and see pics!) I bet Madison (and Scott) have a great time.

Did you get a new do? Pictures, please!

Have a great Friday and a great weekend!
